@Darksoul if a mod goes away after you saved the game, any object that ONLY exists inside of the mod (people, mod-specific weapons, ect) also go away, and changes to terrain are restored. If whatever house you are in knows tartarus because of it your location will be defaulted to the inn in Riverwood.

Just so ya know, I ran this mod though TES5edit. It says that the mod has 63 dirty edits. You may wanna check them out via TES5edit, along with all your other mods.

Now, normally id clean them, but im not sure what these will do. Its best if you, the mod creator look into this and clean it and your other files. This will increase stability aswell as making them more compatible with other mods. Here is some links to help you out as I love your mods and love to see them grow:

I gave them all A.I. packages to do exactly that- leave their houses, go to the market, then go home in the evening. While they're at the market they are in "Sandbox" mode, which should give them the freedom to use any idle markers in the area. If they don't, there isn't much I can do about it without having them do the exact same thing every day and take away their freedom to kind of do things randomly. I've been finding that my custom NPCs don't always follow their A.I. packages to the letter, and I don't know why or how to fix it.

I was wondering when someone was going to ask me about that. The truth is, I have no clue what makes them do that. It usually happens at night, they'll just exit their houses, leave town and wander off into the freaking wilderness to God-knows-where. I tried following them once to see where they went. They just kept going down the road underneath the giant stone arch the city sits on, and finally stopped down by the seashore in a completely random location. It's the most confusing bug I've ever seen- I tried redoing their AI packages over and over, tried taking away their sleep schedule altogether because I thought that might have something to do with it, but nothing seems to work. The crazy fools are hell-bent on just wandering off into the wild blue yonder in the dead of friggin' night. So the best I could do was to flag them all as essential or protected to make sure they didn't get mauled by wolves or have their throats slit by bandits on their little midnight jaunts.

That's got nothing to do with my mods - I've seen that happen on the Xbox 360 version of the game. I think it's just a matter of the Khajiit arriving at a town and since there are no animations for them setting up tents, you just have to leave and come back for the camp to be set up properly and stuff. But that's great news about the face textures and stuff. :) You're positive you were looking at a character added by this mod?

The Faces appear to be fin in this one. However the Kahjit Caravans are messed up. The merchants are either not at the camp site as in this one, or the camp is missing and the actors are clumped togethter (whiterun)

So, if anybody hasn't downloaded this mod yet that plans on doing so, would you be so kind as to let me know if packaging that FaceGen data worked or not once you do? If my added NPCs (named in parentheses in the description above) have dark gray, textureless faces, then it didn't work and I'm back at square one. If they look normal, then I've solved the issue and I can continue uploading the remainder of the Bigger and Bolder series without further setbacks.

HOLD UP I MAY HAVE JUST FIGURED IT OUT. I tried selecting that "Create Archive" option from the File dropdown whilst having the file structure open, and it let me just drag and drop the files into the archive window, and I saved it as Solitude - Bigger and Bolder.bsa (hopefully that's right). So tonight after midnight, when my dumb@$$ internet data is unlimited and it'll actually let me, I'll try re-uploading the mod now that I've made that archive and see if it works.

@Lefty I appreciate it, but after reading that I still don't quite know what I need to do. For one thing I don't use the NPC Editor, never even heard of it, it sounds like an old outdated method to me. On the CK Wiki all it said was that I would need to "capture the data in an archive (.bsa) and publish that .bsa", but I don't know how to do that. Where do I even start? In the Creation Kit there's an option in the File dropdown that says "Create Archive", but when I double click it it opens a window with a blank list, and it won't let me do anything with it. Right clicking on the list does nothing, left clicking on it does nothing, and the only two buttons available in the window are "Pack Files", which just closes the window without doing anything, and "Cancel", which does the same exact thing. I just don't know what I'm doing wrong here.

@Gol Zin I have already made Bigger and Bolder mods for Winterhold, Riverwood, Rorikstead, Ivarstead, Shor's Stone, Darkwater Crossing, Dragon Bridge, and Karthwasten. I just haven't uploaded them yet. I've been trying to find out how to package the FaceTint and FaceGeom files for my added characters so other people don't have to, but I can't find anything on the internet other than just how to export the files for my own computer. I could just go ahead and upload the rest of what I've finished, but I've already been getting a lot of complaints about that dark face bug in all my mods.

@DJspeakes.....Do you plan on doing Winterhold, Riverwood and Rorikstead?.....MY PC has long since competed the CW and the rest of the Game quests and I look at mods like these as improvements the Winning side has made. Great work on all your mods!

If anybody could explain the step by step process of packaging the FaceTint and FaceGeom files with an upload from the Creation Kit, I'd be most grateful. I was just looking around in the Skyrim file structure on my computer and managed to locate where the files were exported to, but now what do I do with them? The sooner I get this question answered, the sooner I can get to fixing this problem on all of my Bigger and Bolder mods. The more details I can get on the process, the better. I'm not very tech savvy. But I've looked all over the internet for tutorials on how to do this and all I've found is how to fix it on your own computer, not how to actually include the files when uploading the mod to Steam. So yeah, help me out here and I promise I'll repay the favor by getting all the mods in this series fixed as soon as possible.

Exporting the facial geometry won't break anything, I promise. It's as simple as going into the Creation Kit and finding the characters in the Object window by name, pressing Ctrl + F4, OK, and you're done. I am truly sorry I wasn't able to include the geometry files myself, but if it were as simple to pack the files in with my mod upon uploading it as it is to simply export them from the Creation Kit once you have it on your own computer, I would have. Maybe it is just as simple and I'm just technically impared, but I haven't been able to figure out how to get the files into an archive to include upon uploading the mod. I've been messing with it and trying to figure it out but either I'm looking in the wrong place or I've missed a step or several steps. I really don't know. As soon as I learn how to do this, I'll re-upload every one of my mods with the facegeom data included.

So you made a mod but didn't finish it and you expect people to use the mod and fix it before they use it? I love your idea and I was going to try it out but I am not a modder and my Skyrim has over 35 huge mods as it is. I can't risk messing it up.

If you experience freezing while exporting, don'y worry cause it's normal. After a long time it will finish.

@halfking Well, since in the Creation Kit it shows all the places where there will be civil war clutter if the town is attacked, I made sure not to place any additional objects in spots where it would cause conflicts. Should be fine. And no, I don't think it would conflict with any cleanup mods either, since they just reset the town to its original state. The added buildings would remain the same either way.

Like the mod, just curious what happens if you side with the Stormcloaks and attack Solitude at the end of the Civil War. Two of the houses look like they might conflict with that mission. Also, will this mod conflict with the Civil War Clean-Up mod that fixes the broken buildings at the end of that mission?

@gunchapred, follower of Celestia: yes it will. TAVE Solitude modifes the entire Solitude cell interior the way this mod does. Either use TAVE or this mod and not both.

He means cleaned with TES5Edit to remove any dirty edits (ITM and UDR).
You can also include the fix for grey face in a BSA file, or a seperate "mod" of loose files that only includes them.

Also yeah, any other mod that adds stuff to Solitude will likely have conflicts. Any time you're dealing with two different expansion mods for the same town, there's a good chance they won't work in tandem with each other due to different objects being placed in the exact same spot by the two mods.
