I'd love to but, i'm not sure how to do it right now. After the Emerald City Comic Con where I'm guest speaking at on the 2nd, I'll likely have time to work on it. I've just been stressed and trying to prepare for the con.

Right now I can't take any commissions. I'm dealing with some really serious health issues that's made life quite miserable. If you want to add me on Steam or Discord, feel free to and you can check in every once in a while to see if I'm doing well enough to take commissions again.

Shaostoul, I noticed below you do comissions, whats the chances of getting a rather basic 1x1 block impulse thruster? it doesnt need to look pretty, its not gonna be seen, just need to ahve some way to know what direction its facing.

It needs to use energy, work in both space and atmosphere, high thrust output, low dampener strength, and most importantly, NO FLAME! (small ship and large ship versions would be great)

I've been looking for something like this for the good part of half a year now so i can finish my star trek ship, the main thing holding me back is the lack of small powerful and flamesless thrusters, but i want to be able to use this in a world where thruster still damage stuff...

I do have a limited budget but if you wanna give me a quote go for it, i know you said you'd like to see a sketch but as its not gonna be seen I'm not too worried, I'll trust your imagination here as I love all your models anyway

In an ideal world, where everything is going perfectly. I wouldn't charge to make anything because, I'd make enough income via YouTube/Live Streaming/Patreon to not worry about charging anyone. One can wish.

Having worked with people on fixed income, I understand completely.

The way it usually works is (at least until donations pick back up again, lost a lot of my regular donors when I went to take care of my cousin for 2 months), I get the request, I fulfill the request after getting paid at least something up front (so I get at least something for my work if the person decides to not pay me later, it's happened a lot.) I inform them of the time taken and it's up to them to donate what they wish.

I've done something that took 30 minutes and got $100. I've done something that took 6 hours and got $20. I've had people subscribe to my Patreon for 6 months at $20/month to pay me back for what they felt they should pay. So it really does come down to what you feel it's worth and whether or not you can afford to do more or less.

For example if I wanted 2x thrusters 1x Seat 3x LCD 1x Door 1x Connector. (I would likely come up with a more complete list.)
What would your price be if I was buying it off you like a package? I have to watch what I spend or I don't eat so if I spend cash on a game.. well.. Gotta take it easy lets say.

Well that sound's alright. Only problem I have with an hourly rate is I have no idea ho long it takes you to whip stuff up. I personally whip models up in no time when its for my needs. But that would screw me if I charged hourly, id have to take alot of breaks haha

If it's paid, I'll totally do something custom to someones design choice. I usually charge $20/hour but, money is tight right now, so I'll take what I can get. I'll have to see a drawing to offer a quote on time to create.

UPDATE: October 28, 2016

WARNING: Sometimes mods corrupt when updating. Locate the 9digit number in the URL that corresponds to a 9digit.sbm file in the AppData/Roaming/SpaceEngineers/Mods folder. Delete that SBM file and it will force a redownload.

Finally! It took a while for me to get the update out since I got home from Florida but, all is well! My cousin's brain surgery went fantastically and he's returned to work. It's lovely to be back in Washington and have everything back that I missed. IE: My computer, bed, and amazing well water. :P

Thank you everyone for your wishes and being patient during that difficult time.

-This update brings everything to the current Stable SE version.
-Steam thrusters were quieted and white box shouldn't appear.
-Glass should be fixed.
-Many texture fixes to be in line with the new renderer.

UPDATE:
-Steam Thruster 'should' be fixed and quieted down.
-Added support for the new variants system. (4000+ lines of code later)
-Cleaned up some code.
-No errors beyond "None File Extensions" present on release. I was able to place, grind, and weld all blocks without crashes.

The mod was released via the development branch, however no code changes took place that will break it for the stable branch. You will get a prompt about this, but you should have no issues.

@Zacharys315 A word of caution, though. When yo0u use the thrust override like that, whichever engines you are overriding will no longer be adjustable by your dampners. So if you're on a planet, DEAR GODS be careful if you decide to override the thrust levels of your vertical thrusters while close to the ground, otherwise you might end up IN it. lol

@Zacharys315 What about using the thrust override? Granted it's not a _slider_, per se, but as long as you know the thrust output of your individual engines, just place all your forward engines into one group, then assign the "Decrease Thrust Override" and "Increase Thrust Override" actions to your toolbar, and hit those when you want to throttle up or down. It's what I've been doing when flying aircraft using Draygo's Aerodynamic's mod, and works REALLY well!

...until this latest update, that is. The game used to display the current thrust level on the toolbar, but with this week's update, that's no longer the case. Makes it SOOOOOO much harder to guage your thrust level now, and I hate it. D~:

Discord is much like TeamSpeak, Skype, etc. It is an in-development program to be a better alternative specifically for gamers. If you want to check it out, the Keen 'server' is here: https://discord.gg/0hIE7GirODT7xEsZ They have an web version and an app version. I personally suggest the app version, you use that same link to connect in the app.

'Soon' is very hard to determine in the world of game development. For an example Half-Life 3 or Portal 3.

There's actually people who already want that feature, hopefully we'll see it 'soon'. Right now you're limited to turning off inertial dampeners. There was talk of it in Discord just a few minutes ago.

No, not a visual slider. I mean throttable engines, such as you could turn a engine to say 50 percent of its output and not have to hold the forward key.

I like this mod, but i have a suggestion: Atmospheric thrusters like jet engines would be nice to have for this. Also, can you make the jets (if added), and existing thrusters have a throttle slider so that we dont have to hold the forward key? SMALL UPDATE:
-Glass texture changed temporarily.
-Many textures fixed, were behaving very weird, still more to do, lemme know if you see anything specific.
-Catwalk Stair should no longer be crashing

BIG UPDATE:
-Near every single texture has be reworked to be better designed for better compression and smaller size.
-SLANTED FORCE FIELDS! I know, I know, took forever.
-DisplayName changes. Viewing block names in game should be significantly more pleasant.
-Assembler/Refinery storage capacity tweaked.
-New Gravity Generator
-Airlock door reworked a little bit to stop clipping issue.
-Airlock collision reworked slightly to hopefully stop so many explosions from unmerging.
-Hollow rotor is a little less explodey... Use with extreme caution.
-Many block position fixes, blocks finally showing up in block menu properly.

As with all big updates, if you have corruption errors. Delete the 9digitmod.sbm file located in appdata/spaceengineers/mods and redownload. No SubtypeID's were changed, so no blocks should vanish.

UPDATE: Master Pack list:
-Force Fields: Made more pleasant between DX9 and DX11. Lemme know if I messed anything up.
-Industrial: removed grav gen component.
-Catwalks: removed glass component, replaced with additional girders and slight increase to steel plates.
-Thrusters: Severe balance tweak, large thrusters received a 3x output upgrade, small thrusters about 50% upgrade. Balanced to vanilla thrusters. Less useful in atmo now. It's set to 0.2 (vanilla 0.3), will change some based off requests.

If I need to update/fix anything that I've forgotten, let me know.

CHECK TO MAKE SURE FORCE FIELDS KEEP OXYGEN FOR YOU, IF THEY DON'T EXIT BEFORE SAVE! ALT+F4 WORKS!

Hi Shaostoul, would you consider making a more powerful standalone version of the 1x1x1 thruster which works in atmosphere as it would be a perfect hideable thruster for sci-fi franchise recreations.
