Literally just fix the fact that you can never be neutral with husks with anything, and then this mod will work great

So.. Ruins vanilla symbiosis and still doesn't make you immune to being attacked by husk mobs...

Never going to fix?

This patch order seems completely wrong as Barotrauma overwrites mods bottom to top (don't ask me why it just does) So patches need to be Above the mod they are patching The correct order would seem to be.

NT Symbiote Patch Post
NT Symbiote
NT Symbiote Patch-Pre
Neurotrauma
Improved Husk

Any plans on updating this to the new version of barotrauma

"Neurotrauma (Just needs to be loaded before Patch-post, doesn't matter where)
NT Symbiote + Improved Husks Patch-post"

It's so confusing. Barotrauma load mods from bottom to top, so if something need to be loaded before Patch-post, than this mod should be on every top of the list in my modlist or what? Can you just explain which order must be in modlist and not talk about LOAD order?

Vanilla symbiosis appears to not work

Originally was using NT Symbiote, Neurotrauma, Improved husks and Barotraumatic(and creatures) but we ran into Improved Husk creature texture issues.

followed load order suggested.

NT Symbiote + Improved Husks Patch-pre
NT Symbiote
Improved Husks
Neurotrauma (Just needs to be loaded before Patch-post, doesn't matter where)
NT Symbiote + Improved Husks Patch-post

tested both creature textures and the NT Symbiote minigame, both worked fine and I was able to remove the parasite.

For some reason, doing the surgery to remove infection in this version causes an obscene amount of basic organ damage, like upwards of 100%... is this intended? Or is it because I'm using it with enhanced husks, not improved?

I wonder if something is broken in the mod, but I have to mod load order exactly as it should be, and in a multiplayer game, when my buddy tries to do the surgery he doesn't get a "minigame", he just ends up killing whoever gets infected

Do you know how well this mod and NT:S work with syx's iteration of IH?

Nice!

@ TTV.Redalertnoobie, Thanks for the heads up, I didn't notice that because of my load order.
Patch-post needs to override the afantibiotics affliction, which Neurotrauma provides, from ABX to change how it does husk infection resistance. Because of that Patch-post will need to be loaded after Neurotrauma. WIll update the description.

Overrides are fun... Really wish Baro devs would just print a warning without disabling mods as it really doesn't matter in the end.
TTV.Redalertnoobie 9 Nov, 2023 @ 10:03am
since the update, NT turns itself off as the ABX is "identical affliction" in the console
Renkin  [author] 8 Nov, 2023 @ 3:48pm
@orthos, Improved Husks has some custom afflictions that are not "huskinfection". Calyx still reduces/cures those. Specifically symbiotichusk, blacktoxin, and huskinfectioncontagion.
As far as normal husk infection there are some ways around it but the idea is Calyx only reduces/pauses the infection to a minimal level until surgery can be done to remove it.
orthos 7 Nov, 2023 @ 7:42am
Hi Renkin, thanks for that patch! You're writing "Calyxanide heals IH afflictions but husk infection uses the NT:S behavior". So just to understand: You need Calyxanide to heal the Husk affliction but not the infection? Where is the difference? Do you need both? Calyxanide and a surgery?
