This looks pretty nice, though I think its aesthetic vibe is more 70s than 60s. I am a shameless enjoyer of this particular shade of green though, and it goes surprisingly well with both the red and the blue. Would work as a great magenta-grade paint imo.

also, this paint is ugly.

Color theory is both the science and art of using color. It explains how humans perceive color; and the visual effects of how colors mix, match, or contrast with each other.

also, a scientific theory and a regular theory are vastly different. a regular theory is either a guess or an educated guess, a scientific theory is a well-substantiated explanation of an aspect of the natural world that can incorporate laws, hypotheses, and facts.
Ted Beneke 1 Nov, 2023 @ 2:22pm
also there's no "objectivity" in color theory. It's THEORY :steamhappy:

Ignoring the fact that red & green are complimentary colours and not [/i]contrasting colours[/i], aren't those two colours also a very common and very popular combo to see around Christmas, which is what this warpaint's meant to be for?

Maybe those very legit scientific studies that dude's talking about retains to people with red-green colourblindness, but what do I know. All I see when I look at this warpaint is a grey & white warpaint, so I say it's a-ok

ive never heard of "color theory" what is this thing?
Renim ☕ 1 Nov, 2023 @ 10:31am
if you're gonna talk color theory at least be correct?? LMAO green and red are complimentary colors. stupid people trying to tell an artist what color theory is lmfao
Lo-fi Longcat 1 Nov, 2023 @ 9:55am
@Delirium1370 Objectively speaking, green and red are complementary colours. Thousands of years of humans creating art have come about regarding this topic

i wish the pattern weren't just 2 line strokes with a wave effect applied (yes i know this was hand drawn but it would have been much cooler if it were drawn across the canvas)
MeatwadMeatwad 1 Nov, 2023 @ 6:37am
The green juxtaposed with the team color looks really bad. Also the green could use being darkened as well
Diva Dan  [author] 1 Nov, 2023 @ 6:19am
What
Delirium 1 Nov, 2023 @ 6:10am
Objectively speaking, green and red are contrasting colours and naturally look unappealing to the eye. Various scientific articles have come about regarding this topic - the general consensus is that the human eye is incapable of perceiving both red and green at the same time.

With this information, I'm not sure a war paint almost entirely built on red and green would work very well.

where's the class emblem
RicePrezPip 1 Nov, 2023 @ 12:00am
i like this pattern a lot but would love to see it in a different color scheme not so rooted in christmas colors.

also kinda makes me think of a sandwich (not a bad thing!)
Niccy 31 Oct, 2023 @ 11:18pm
