当一个附庸国、傀儡国、朝贡国或总督不加入战争时,条约就不会被破坏,也不会宣布战争。如果领主或保护者未能加入诸侯的战争,那么条约将像往常一样被破坏:steamthumbsup:

It should still work normally, I think a different user said they had it lower on the mod load order and it worked. I can’t guarantee it though. I haven’t checked what they modified in terms of diplomacy

In 1212 mode, the vassal state declares war on the player. Is this the way it's supposed to be?

It should be if you put it lower in the mod load order. My mod modifies significantly fewer values so it will have no impact beyond the vassalage diplomacy

Additionally, the issue should be fixed. It worked for me when I tested it at least.

It appears that they overwrite eachother depending on location in the load order. If you place mine further down it should then work with Diplomacy

i'm playing with the WRE and if i enter a war they still break treaty and declare on me. I'm using only mods that change little aspects of the campaign (zero climate change, unlimited governors and the loyalty fix)

@Structural mechanics Checking the mod pack it looks like the two will conflict. I would try putting mine lower on the load order list so it overwrites it and let me know if you run into any issues

huh seems like modified vanilla files overide all other changes, leading to extremely low compatibility.
Care to improve that? Or is it intended, to ensure reliability instead?

@shamaster the mod description said it prevent ur tributaries/puppets/vassals to not break theirs treaty with u when they are declined to join ur wars. In vanilla if u declare war to someone and ur vassals doesn't want to join they will be free from u (Independent). This mod prevent that, so u can have very upset vassals and declare war on other faction without making them break treaties

Hi again. So after starting a Hun campaign both of my starting tributaries ended up betraying me within the expected vanilla time-frame. I'm unsure what magic you do to make the mod work but does it handle vassals you start the game with different from the ones you make during the game? Gonna try to re-subjugate them and see if they're capable of breaking free again.

Did further testing and edited my comment, new tributaries are randomly rebelling, re-subjugated starting tributaries are not.. I have 0 idea how this works, maybe it's just finicky with the tributary type of vassal. You think grabbing one of those mods that lets me do puppet states instead of tributaries would break your mod?

Works like a dream after proper testing.... Angry subjugation victims camp their armies outside my cities for a few turns during the period where in vanilla they would have suicidally rebelled, then they join one of my wars on their own and stop being mad at me. You're a genius!

Just need someone to make one of these for Rome II and one for three kingdoms and I'll be able to justify vassals in all the total war games, Thank you for your hard work over here!

@Shamaster Tbh I probably could look at Fudging Vassals (I use the mod) and see how he did it. Theoretically the vassals shouldn't break off unless you fail to defend them. This is my first mod messing with these type variables but people say it is working.

Quick question. Will vassals in this mod still turn on you if they hate your guts? Like directly after your army moves away due to lingering animosity about the whole "Subjugating their entire civilization" thing. I REALLY want to enjoy vassals in this game just because they're fun but the vanilla ones are so flighty that there's basically no point to ever having them. Despite having JUST been beaten into submission and being stripped to a single territory they will rebel the absolute second they think you are at least 2 or 3 turns from retaliating..... ignoring all strength comparisons.

I've been looking for a mod that does the Fudging Vassal thing of preventing vassals of rebelling in this game for forever and am hyped at the prospect.
