Hello! I was recently gripped by a bout of nostalgia for the Leviathan book trilogy, which I read first as a kid and adored. In the midst of this nostalgia I had the thought that a mod based on the series for Victoria 3 could be interesting, and while poking that thought I rather stumbled into this mod. Fascinating to see someone else had the idea, seeing as the announcement of the anime was pretty much the first indication I had that anyone but me still remembered the series. I hope you and the mod are doing well, and I look forward to seeing the eventual 1.10 update - for the moment my main focus in this game is working out how to do Austria in the base game.

Also the Discord link's dead again. I understand not paying for the boost, but without that a timer to refresh it or something is probably needed.

@Mig Its great to hear people discovering Leviathan! I got that obsessed feeling from the books.

While i'd like to make a permanent discord link, that requires a boosted server. I've updated the link with another temp. link

No, I do not plan to make a ww1 map for this. However, if a seperate ww1 mod comes out, it would make sense for me to make a compatibiltiy patch, or maybe even piggy back off that mod's work to make a scenario closer to the world of Leviathan.

hey so, after playing the game a little and then looking through the game files, i can't help but notice that there doesn't seem to be any tech or way to produce mechs, is this by design or did my game files not download fully?

@MrBlazzar™ You're welcome! Yeah, my line of thinking with the mechs was that mechs are practically just replacement for automobiles, so I simply did the same in Vic 3 (via reskin).

@DagothurDank well, your suggestion came to life. In the 1.9 update there is the option to enhance crops/livestock with lifethreading. There is event an event that comes about as a result of that, though!

@Tiregas I found out what youre talking about. Yeah that is very strange. The buildings tab also doesnt display pms, even though you can see it if you view a building within a states. I will have to work on a bugfix for that

Hm, the things that I can think of that would fit that criteria, is perhaps
Genetically modified plants could also work with said threading, being able to grow more, or grow plants on areas you wouldnt be able to normally.
Using said created beasts to grow oil like the whaling stations.
Little things like that.

@Voryn Dagoth Ur While I am open to changes/suggestions, there are no plans for expanding the variety of buildings and industries. While I appreciate your suggestions, in my opinion they are too "modern/future" sci-fi inspired and not "alt history" sci-fi inspired. If you/anyone else have suggestions that fall along these lines, please comment!

@Empereur Raf no, i wanted the implementation of these new things to feel vanilla, so the vanilla-like events encouraging their creation here are as far as it goes. There will be no unique country-specific stuff

People are always welcome to make submods, though!

Seems like the discord link has expired or something but I just wanted to say that if you're still in the process of doing an update, in the levith_bio_buildings you might want to add a check for the total ban to prevent the AI from spamming the darwinist labs when auto invest is on.

For myself I just added the following under the existing check so that it doesn't need the industry ban too:

On the flip side maybe there's an argument to be made for making a similar law for mechs and adding the same to the mech buildings files.
