Shouldn't the mod be named 240x88 if it is 21,120 tiles? 204*88 is 17952 tiles. As well, I accidentally used this mod with 1:1 aspect ratio and got a map of 145*145 size, or 21025 tiles. The map had generated tiles perfectly at any latitude. You would be right that you seemingly could use these aspect ratios to get wider and taller maps than you would normally, though I have no idea about the stability.

The issue with larger maps beyond stability constraints is that the game just won't generate terrain visuals higher than a certain latitude. Theoretically, with the map generation ratio option a larger scale is possible, but I haven't gotten around to testing larger sizes with that option.

Love this mod! Have been using it for months. I have a fairly beefy computer and would be interested in an even larger map if feasible. If not all good, I find this a massive improvement to scale as is.

Noted, I don't know how to modify the Wonder rate but I will look into it.
Incorporeal 22 Mar @ 6:25pm
If the "Natural Wonder Density" options actually applied this would be a must-have, but when only like 9 spawn on a map this big even when you set it to Abundant it kind of spoils the fun. I like playing with natural wonders, so if the spawn rate of those were cranked up to populate the massive map I'd definitely use this mod.

It should theoretically be possible, but it would require time to figure out so I can’t guarantee I’ll get around to that anytime soon.
HappyHead 25 Feb @ 10:20am
Would it be possible to add in options for only 20% and 10% land coverage? I find myself wanting a map with roughly the same amount of land as a standard huge map, but with much much more ocean

Civ 7 is garbage IMO. I have played civ for over 30 years since civ 1 when Sid started. HK is the only other 4x strategy game I enjoy playing. lol
Cosmic Fox 10 Feb @ 7:31am
It turns out Furry this map did not cause the issues. Memory leaks in general, any mods will cause the issue. I sure wish they would patch this correctly. Probably HK 2 in the works with how they have not released enough updates. Thanks for your work

Thanks, figured so, happens in most turn based and rts games when its too much going on, thanks guys

For those having a turn not ending issue, it's a bug since the beginning of this game on large and huge map sizes. a solution is either save and load or load a save 2 or more turns back. It's not something caused by this mod specifically but the engine struggling with so many units moving at once on the map as well as all the choices the ai makes.
Furry Profile Pic  [author] 11 Jan @ 5:41pm
Truthfully? I don't know the cap, I've never run in to this issue myself. That said, the 16:10 aspect ratio, 50% landmass or less, and 150 tile ocean territories is stable, and I'm fairly certain up to 60 tile standard territories is stable. Anything more than that I have not confirmed, and would require extensive testing to be certain on its upper limits.
Bonesbutcher 11 Jan @ 4:30pm
Hello, I'm enjoying this Mod, I too had the same problem with turn not ending. What is the best way to start off on the map settings to reduce this problem, thanks much in advance.
Furry Profile Pic  [author] 19 Sep, 2024 @ 1:23am
The size in this mod is on the cusp of stable map size as is so I'm not entirely surprised. I'm sorry it doesn't work at that size though.
Cosmic Fox 18 Sep, 2024 @ 5:52pm
This map mod is causing the game to not end turn. I had one instant where I could not go to next era. It has to do with using 150-200 ocean tiles and 70% land mass or some such setting. It is a shame because I enjoy the larger maps.
I might learn modding this game to try and fix issues like this one. I am or was an avid Civilization series player since civ 1 around 1980 or so lol Thanks for the mod work
Furry Profile Pic  [author] 5 Sep, 2024 @ 12:29am
As far as I know its not possible to modify the maximum tile height unfortunately.
TiraboTurbos 4 Sep, 2024 @ 9:31pm
I wonder if you can mod the amplitude to be more than 12?
NemoNO 4 Sep, 2024 @ 12:56pm
out of curiosity would this have any reason to be incompatible with triple alliance?
Furry Profile Pic  [author] 1 Sep, 2024 @ 4:23pm
Yes, if you have this mod active all size options are overridden to this size. The ratio difference between this size and Huge is roughly the same ratio as Huge to Large.
Guvenoren 1 Sep, 2024 @ 11:41am
So, does this mean that if I set the map size to huge or anything else, it will still be the size listed here? What is the difference between this mod and largest map size?

You are a King!
Furry Profile Pic  [author] 1 Jul, 2024 @ 12:15am
It was already uploaded, but I have updated it and renamed the mod.
redcrow 30 Jun, 2024 @ 1:14am
Would you upload this mod on mod.io?
Furry Profile Pic  [author] 8 Mar, 2024 @ 3:22pm
Happy to help!
Rykae 8 Mar, 2024 @ 3:10pm
This now works properly. Thanks for the assist.
Furry Profile Pic  [author] 8 Mar, 2024 @ 1:43pm
I believe that is the missing UI mapper bug, which occurs when you modify your mod load/order after having a game/save file open before returning to the menu. To avoid this bug, only load/reorder mods before opening any save or starting a game, and if you need to reorder mods after opening a save exit the game entirely and restart, rather than quitting to the main menu.
Rykae 8 Mar, 2024 @ 2:29am
Currently having an issue where all events are turned off, and all notifications are ignored. Only "end turn" appears in the corner. I have confirmed that only this mod is causing the issue.
Furry Profile Pic  [author] 3 Mar, 2024 @ 3:01pm
I'm not sure whether or not it can be used for that.
Thisguy 3 Mar, 2024 @ 11:36am
Can i use this Mod to make my own Large maps?
Furry Profile Pic  [author] 3 Feb, 2024 @ 2:49am
I'm happy to announce that this mod now works again. Unfortunately the game seems to be unable to handle more than 21,120 tiles, but this size should be functional with all aspect ratios.
Furry Profile Pic  [author] 25 Jan, 2024 @ 12:56am
None that seemed to work when I tested it. The mod itself already relied on using the map generation in a way that wasn't fundamentally intended, so its not surprising a change disrupted it. Its also worth noting that there was originally a "Territory Size" mod which was broken when they altered map generation, so I was mildly afraid the new map ratio feature would break this. Sorry to disappoint.
BigLettuce 24 Jan, 2024 @ 5:46pm
Is there no workaround for this you can find?
Furry Profile Pic  [author] 23 Jan, 2024 @ 10:39pm
Unfortunately the new ratio system for map generation seems to break this mod.
Furry Profile Pic  [author] 23 Jan, 2024 @ 10:23pm
Unfortunately I don't think that's a problem I can fix, the issue is likely the new map ratio option.
BigLettuce 21 Jan, 2024 @ 9:47am
This mod doesn't work with the current version unfortunately
Furry Profile Pic  [author] 26 Nov, 2023 @ 10:30pm
Unfortunately it does not
Cuso 26 Nov, 2023 @ 4:55pm
Does the mod increase the number of Natural Wonders? I love to play with a bigger world but I find there are very few of them
Splitdome 14 Nov, 2023 @ 11:09am
Love this map. Actually makes the game harder, due to even more spread on ressources
LJMiranda 6 Nov, 2023 @ 2:57am
I see
Furry Profile Pic  [author] 6 Nov, 2023 @ 1:44am
All mods as I understand prevent achievements unfortunately. I haven't earned any Humankind Steam achievements since I started modding.
LJMiranda 6 Nov, 2023 @ 1:34am
I know this question may be silly, but does this mod also stops you from get achievements?
Furry Profile Pic  [author] 19 Oct, 2023 @ 3:54pm
There should be no compatibility issues or otherwise that I'm aware of.
LJMiranda 19 Oct, 2023 @ 12:31am
Is there any issue with it that I need to know?
Furry Profile Pic  [author] 17 Oct, 2023 @ 1:55am
I'm not sure how the lower land percentage works, I didn't actually modify that. It might be possible to modify the game settings to let you pick a lower land percentage or break the game to do it (similar to how this one breaks the size) but I haven't looked into it.
HappyHead 16 Oct, 2023 @ 9:20pm
Any way to use this map size but with a lower land coverage percentage? 10%, 20%? Want more sea play in a game, harder new world discovery. Seems like this'd be a niiiiice start XD

great mod btw
