@Sr.Caveira, Hi. So I have changed the file self_revive_time.txt directly and it appeared to work. When I was incapacitated, I saw a message when I pressed the Ctrl button indicating how many seconds I have to wait to self revive.
The remaning question is why it does not work via CHAT COMMANDS.

@Arda I already have a similar mod: Death Check Toggle. It doesn't work for some people, but here it is working.

@Sr.Caveira | 頭蓋骨 </> Dark' Can you please make this useful in solo? (No other people, only 1 survivor in the game) I want my campain to not end when I get incapped. Disabling the auto game over when solo incapped might work and you can add a like 30-60 second time limit to kill the player if incapped too long if you want to too, for some balance.

@Sr.Caveira, When I tried the mod, I did see the bots revive themselves without any help. I also did see the message "Hold the Ctrl button..." when I was down, so that means it did work. I just want to change the time, but so far I could not.

@East Laos Confederation - Victor When you type the command, do you see any message in the chat? Like "time has been changed to x" or something like that? If not, you must have some problem with the game or something.

@Shaggy Done. I did exactly as you said and my mod continued working perfectly. I tried to make it bug on purpose in other ways too but without success, continued to work. I really don't understand why some people are facing problems.

In the EMS folder is the sr_self_revive folder, and there's also the Admin System folder if you've ever subscribed to this mod. Don't subscribe to the Admin System mod, and if you already have, delete the Admin System folder and then give it a try.

@shaggy It might sound like I'm lying, but I swear it's true. I removed it and it still worked, so I really don't know why it works for some and not for others.

@shaggy I tested it. I removed the ADMIN SYSTEM, restarted the game and then I joined a local server and my Self Revive were working properly. I don't know what happened to make it work out for you.

bro forget what i said before; i just discovered that the revive when incapacitated mod only works when i have the ADMIN SYSTEM mod installed if i remove it it stops working and yes i tried your mod alone without any other addons and then with the ADMIN SYSTEM and i was thinking it was my left 4 dead 2 that's why i reinstalled it

@LARRY If it doesn't work, I don't know how to help you right now, because it still works for me. Have you tried disabling all mods and seeing if it works? It could be a conflict, even if the game doesn't say there's a conflict.

Create these files:

1. self_revive_method.txt
2. self_revive_time.txt

It should look like this:

\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\ems\sr_self_revive\self_revive_method.txt
\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\ems\sr_self_revive\self_revive_time.txt

Open the 1. file and write inside "manual" (without the quotes)

Open the 2. file and write "5" (without the quotes)

Create a local server and try out.

This will setup the mod settings and maybe works.

And thanks for the feedback, in the future I will make improvements to the mod when possible, I'm currently sick and can't. It's probably a bug I have to fix, but the manual fix should work.

I've commented before, and it actually worked for me and I loved it, but I'm someone who spends a couple of hours on the internet, and all the other mods load in the ems folder, but yours is the only one that loads empty. Any tips on how to fix this? I actually enjoyed using your mod when it worked for me in expert realistic mode. 😔

Hello, I'm from Peru and I hope the translator understands. To make sure the mod works, I subscribed to it and its add-on. Then I started my game in solo mode and then in public game on LOCAL SERVER and I wrote the commands in the chat and it didn't work for me, but the strange thing is this, when I went to the ems folder the mod folder is there but empty, I deleted it and resubscribed to the mod and again it loads the empty folder.

It didn't work for me. I read the old comments and tried self revive auto first, then manual and set time (in both chat and console) and still didn't work. I checked the config and saw no txt file created. I created txt files manually as the comments instructed and still didn't work even restarted the game. so I tried to set the manually created txt files to read only and still didn't work

how do you turn off the self sevive hint?

@inXsify Hmm, I see... Thank you for reporting! As soon as possible I'll check and test to fix, if it really is a bug. BTW, if you can, when the possible bug occurs, open the l4d2 console and see if there is any error related to Self Revive and send it here. (if you can, if not, that's fine)

Not sure what it would be. I play with a variety of other mods on but i never had trouble with it in the past. Like I said I havent played in a few months. But recently, I tried to play as I had been, and its different. I easily had a couple hundred hours of gameplay with auto revive and I know for certain this bug didn't exist last year.

@inXsify Hello! This is strange, I've tried to bug the mod on purpose and it never bugs. Even when playing normally. I can't understand why this happens to some people. Is there something specific you do and so this bugs?

This mod used to work very well for me, but recently the auto revive has become very inconsistent. I'm having an issue where it will randomly stop working. Not just for one player, but the whole team. I haven't played much since February, but back then this mod worked great for me.

Hi, I love your mod, especially when I'm playing on expert, but regarding the letters, as many of us have become familiar with, for a more realistic experience, could you create a file to enable and disable the letters? that would be really cool :)

Ofc but can u make it small text and less spamming in player face ? Like each 3 second to announce text once
