I've been using this mod since I started playing TTS and I love this mod a lot. But lately I'm having a problem where when I operate the Miniature Modifier table, the figures I produce won't turn solid once I hit the Green Button

Some styles are worse than others. When you resize,are you resizing the three dimensions separately? That will help some. But the key is often rotation, which can be a bear. I recommend getting it close with a lower width than you want, then widening until the sideburns appear. Only when they appear on both sides equally and fully is the rotation really right. It can admittedly be difficult and time consuming, particularly on small items like the Military hair cut.

i cant seem to combine hair pieces properly without having tiny gaps. despite resizing or rotating or moving even at the lowest movements possible. is there a method i am missing? i am using the weapon and base combining at the 3rd station

@pimzel try going to the original mod https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2879125129 and looking at the tutorial pictures in the screenshots and the comments (page 5 I think) for some tips. You use the ingame tools - basically lock your base figure, use the move and transform gizmos to get the accessories to line up where you want them, and then use the connect tool to join them together. Hope this helps.

I was wondering how can i get Juan's used parts fused onto the bases. New to tabletop sim so i'm having trouble figuring it out. Anyone know?

This is the single greatest tabletop thing I have ever gotten. Since COVID our games have just sort of shifted to permament online, and the mini's here will have singlehandedly raised the quality of my games going forward. Thank you so much you absolute chad of a human being.

@Malignant, you can only remove bases if the figure was created as a baseless figure first, and then had its base attached. It's possible that some of mine are that way (you can quickly test by trying the combine tool on them to see if anything separates).

Otherwise, yeah, you'd have to rip the 3d asset, remove the base in Blender, and re-export in Unity (or some similar process). Or perhaps if there's a base-less stripped down figure in Blacklace, you could build it back up by adding the right accessories.

Alright, worth a try. I'll have to edit it in Unity. Thank you for this mod my friend, very well made!

How do I remove bases from an existing model with this mod? Is that possible?

Lots of links are broken for me and trying to load in certain models doesn't work - all it does is just cause the models to fall through the table. :(

@sodafountain That's why I created Blacklace (link is above in Zhivchik's credits under my and Mad Mark's entry). It separates base figures from objects/weapons, letting you make many many variations for the cost of a single figure. Only real limit is that you can't change the pose. But it easily lets you decide you want a mace one day and a dagger the next, or change helms, shields, etc.

It's pretty simple!
Just right-click on the figure and select "custom"
in the window that opens, copy the link and paste it into the browser
You will download a 3d model!
Then you just look for places that provide printing services in your city with a 3d printer and give them this model to print it out!
In Moscow, any figure will be printed for 1.5 $+-

Yeah, if you add up all the miniatures that are here, it will be more than 10,000 dollars if you assume that each figure is worth 8 bucks!
But fortunately, I just climbed around the steam workshop for a very long time and combined all the work in 1 mega assembly!

Normally that's because you still have the stuff cached in your TTS folder, in your documents, so they'll still load for you. You can save them to your steam cloud and then replace the urls.

You can test if this is the case by moving that folder and running TTS.
