@CrawL You cannot enter vents as I.R.I.S Units because it was ridiculously stupidly busted in the original mod. This is on purpose as camping in a vent in the original was an extremely easy way to win.

You can enter vents as a Subject though, obviously.

Since the crouching position in the add-on is different from the original crouching position of the game, it is not possible to enter the ventilation pipes on the maps.

How do you reach the vent gas button on the map hdn_facility as I.R.I.S

@MonsieurQuack if you're trying to do a dedicated server then just search up a tutorial on how to setup a dedi and setup a gamemode for it. If you're not doing a dedi then whether port forwarding or using steam p2p, you just change gamemodes at the bottom right of the main menu then launch the server as you would any other.

Should go without saying but there isn't really addons that work with this, what does decide to exist with it is pure coincidence.

I am horrible when it comes to setting things up in GMod. I can't seem to get this properly running.

You don't need any content. Make sure everything downloaded properly and don't run any other addons in the background while playing I.R.I.S Edition.

Can you please add navmesh? I play this game with my friends alot but the thing is we don't have enough fun playing with only the 3 of us. There is this addon I found called leadbots that basically adds bots into the game and makes the experience more funner. The thing is non of the maps don't contain the navmesh for them.

Bots aren't really a thing that can be reasonably done with this gameplay in any sort of satisfying method, so no there are no bots, this is a multiplayer thing after all.

@Pie Currently, all of the weapons that exist fill a specific role, adding an M4A1 would practically just be a "Skin for the f2000"

I had plans for adding more content like this just as simple "Reskins" for people who like to mix up but the effort of animating such a thing (as a mostly solo dev) nukes my drive to work a fair bit and i'm currently in-progress with newer and other projects at the moment.

Will you guys ever add more weapons? I would really like to see a m4a1 and a g36k and famas.

@Eduard Ensure you are using no other addons that may be incompatible, this includes playermodel addons that might be forced on or other shenanigans, even something simple may actually be causing issues. For the best results just set all addons to a preset (bottom right of the addons menu click the wrench icon then you can save presets) then disable all besides hidden after you save it, this way you can easily just load your preset and not have to worry about manually re-enabling everything when you aren't playing hidden.

Make sure you dont have any other addons installed while playing IRIS Edition, On top of that, you cannot reload a gun if you do not have a magazine that has a higher number of rounds in it than the currently loaded magazine. The only exception to this is the Paint Pistol and the Shotgun.

@boxen8 You can do the exact same thing with 617 and camp ceilings with your very silent wind up attack that Insta Kills people.

395 can only insta kill people if they can lunge from an extreme distance.

About maps: I had old versions of maps and I was thrown out of the server. Old maps conflicted due to the difference in versions, but deleting them from the folder fixed the problem.

Well, our opinions on 395 definitely differ greatly. I main it and haven't met players who could effectively fight it, right click literally allows you to fly if used twice, and also kill the enemy with "trick jumps" when you fly in from an unexpected place, and in general his speed combined with invisibility make him very unnoticeable, especially if you Bhop, killed 4 players in a row with a "hit and run" attack
Although maybe it really is a problem with skills, honestly, it's very hard to play, there are almost no servers and no people.
Here's where he can be weak, so these are narrow spaces as you noted, but there is a nuance here too... He can also climb walls and hang on the ceiling, which always disoriented my opponents when I right click.

I just want to pop in and point out the white layer of the mags don't show up either, not just the radar. I don't know how it's coded but do you think it's an issue with that specific layer of the HUD? If the magazine amount and the radar are coded in a similar way maybe comparing them could give the means to figure it out?

For clarification when I say white layer of mags, I mean the part that shows how much ammo you have in each remaining magazine for the gun. While the white part is bugged the green light that shows how much you have in the current magazine works just fine. So look at the whit part not the light.

As said radar issue is a big ????, we don't know why it happens to specific people since the HUD is setup the same across the board.

Also deleted saved maps? maps wouldn't cause any issues unless you had a map with the same name as the ones used int he gamemode, its just a .bsp file with nothing else in it unless you're talking about some weird new thing.

395 has a heavy and directional tell with its rightclick sound, its not really overpowered but it does punish IRIS if they're out in the open and is definitely less "beginner IRIS friendly". Listen carefully and try to minimize angles they can come at you from is p much the advice I can give, I've literally caught out 395s mid pounce because I heard that starting growl and aimed the direction it came from.

All devs run 64 bit chromium constantly for gmod and we never got errors for specifically running it, if anything shit would break because it's all been coded in 64 bit lol, that being said if you have lua errors please feel free to copy and post them to be looked at.

The reloading issue was server related, other servers don't have this issue, but the radar does, but it's funny that I recently played with friends and one of us had a radar that worked as it should, it was displayed and everything.
And if you run Garry's mod 64 chromium, Lua errors will pop up throughout the game.
And yes, initially before playing I disabled all addons and also deleted saved maps.
Oh, and please, add stamina consumption for subject 395 right click. It too overpowered, you can litteraly fly while playing it, and its speed is really insane.

Radar is a unknown issue we have NO IDEA how the fuck it's happening.

Reloading not working? I hope you have NO OTHER ADDONS enabled that could be causing problems. A reminder that you don't have infinite ammo and your guns are magazine based, so if you shoot once then reload, that mag has 1 less bullet so when you cycle to it you will have 1 less.

If you mean load other addons? Not recommended, will probably break shit.

If you mean unload the addon from GMA and personally edit the resources and lua? I mean yeah, but have fun going through the effort of doing that to begin with and understanding the code as well.

@Lu0 Click the "Switch between IRIS and Hidden" button in the options menu during Free Play.

Or stand a legit round by having everyone ready up to really start playing.

Make sure external addons and workshop addons are disabled to avoid conflicts, No one spawning as the subject is an underlying issue with other addons.
