I really like this mod. Especially the early path signal.
Unfortunately, some files seem to be missing. I'm a complete novice at TPF2 modding, but from my perspective, at least the file for the UI icon and the texture files 'signal_path_metal_gloss_ao.dds' and 'signal_path_normal.dds' are missing. Maybe more. Would it be possible to add the missing files to the download?

I agree. The iron tramway wagons are superior to the later wagons in all aspects except purchase price and running cost. My idea for a nerf would be to reduce their top speed from 41 km/h to 30 km/h.

Steve Emfore: Can you tell me how to set up wooden rails so that they can reach speeds of at least 50 kilometers per hour? Instead of 15 km. I want to launch the first steam locomotives with these trailers on them. After all, steam locomotives can reach speeds of up to 30 kilometers per hour! They will be a great replacement for horses!

I think your wagons need nerfing in terms of weight-to-cargo, as it is I'm reaching 1850 and having a hard time justifying transitioning from a 4 cargo to 0.7 ton wagon to a more modern 4 cargo to 5 ton wagon.

from what i've seen so far, the mod works almost entirely fine, the only issue is the cockpit camera of the Trevithick 1808 'London' type is attached to one of the wheels instead of the main body. idk if this has already been addressed or not but i felt like it was worth mentioning

@oldhip It is likely you have either set up your new game incorrectly with mods or you have another mod that is interfering with Early Rail and Early Start.

Ensure you have Early Rail #1 enabled in your mod list as without it you will have no vehicles.

I had the same problem with hidden vehicles showing up in menu. Turns out it was from the Urban Games no vehicle end year mod causing it.

@myrlad These vehicles are meant to be hidden as they are menu items. You may have another mod enabled that shows these hidden vehicles. These mods can sometimes mess up the grouping mechanic.

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but the Iron Tramway and Early Railway wagons only have one variant available for purchase, which is just three wagons connected. The Wooden Wagons work perfectly however. Otherwise the mod is fantastic.

@Katzenkopf I'm pretty sure if there isn't a mechanism to base that off of in the base game track replacement wouldn't be possible anyways, lol

Would it be possible for Tram versions of these to be made? Right now I'm playing on an NYC map and would love to be able to recreate the early days of rail with street running "trains"

Steve, two issues for you:

1) the cab ride view of Trevithick is not working
2) I built a wooden bridge with the "rails only" and later on I could not delete it

One wish:

could yo please make your tracks inside the stations replaceable?

It seems there was a faulty version up for about 20 minutes, if you were unfortunate enough to get that version, unsub and resub to get the working one.

I got the exact same error message Penny Lee got. I unsubscribed this mod, quit steam for it to clear the files. Opened Steam back up. Resubscribed, and now its working :) I used only 2 mods. Early start and this mod.Not sure if mod order matters, but now this mod is at the top of the list.

Make sure you're not loading the beta version, which is a separate mod.

@ethangreig have you tried checking for conflicting mods? I removed the mod 'puffing billy' and it allowed the mod to run

@ethangreig If you can give me a clue as to the nature of the crash, I could go about fixing it. Shouting it crashes without any context isn't very helpful.

This mod is broken, Whenever I try to load into a saved game or a brand new game. This mod makes the game crash. EVERY SINGLE TIME

As someone who has been subscribed to your mods since those early days in TpF1, I just want to say I am so happy for you with how far as a modder you have come. These models look amazing, and the very concept of this mod can be potentially game-changing (it already is for the most part, if only UG would make 1850 not such a random mandatory year).

Thank you for all the amazing engines come to life on screen and the countless hours of fun I have had with them!
