But with 6.2.1 & 6.2.2 AI factions are diplo-vassalizing each other in insane ways, especially militarily weak factions vassalizing strong ones: Example, #2 Etaine with 16 settlements just submitted to #46 Dreadfleet with 3 settlements in my current Belegar campaign. Almost all the vassalizations I'm seeing are diplo'd; next to none by conquering last settlement.
You guys might want to tweak the values needed to diplo vassalize ANY target faction (except maybe player faction?). Or even disable diplo vassaliztion altogether?
