@LittleEvo I believe the fixed crits from Midas Prime just set the damage to crit, so they won't give you any chance to Overcrit you wouldn't have with the normal fire. Thorium Sheaths should also work the same way.

question, does the calamity midas prime work with the mod? do the coins add crit chance or simply set it to a fixed value?

Have you considered making overcrit damage a different text colour? Red would fit well with the current scaling colours :)

This reminds me of Warframe's yellow, orange and red crit system. Which due to being able to increase critical damage in Warframe works that it is 1 + "crit tier" * (modded crit damage - 1),

So basically if you had 150% crit chance and a modded crit damage of 4.4 and hit the 50% for a level 2 crit. Then the formula works like this "1 + 2 * (4.4 - 1) = 7.8".

But enough about another game. The mod looks fun. So I will give it a go. Just made me think of it.

@bcosmos Summoners can't normally crit. While minions and whips will still get the benefits of Overcrit if the user's global Critical rate is over 100, their critical hit rate won't be shown and the damage will be multiplied to a normal hit's damage.

Just going to post again, last patch fixed the issue with certain enemies ignoring attacks that would be overcrits, such as Calamity's Astral enemies.

I think I figured it out. The problem is with the Sound Engine; apparently it doesn't get along with whatever Calamity does to do its special hitsounds (such as with the Astral mobs).

It isn't even Infernum-specific, either! I've got a working fix on my end, I'll update it ASAP.

Pretty much every weapon i used was affected, and only if they had over 100% crit rate, with higher amounts making the projectile more likely to disappear or the weapon to deal no damage. Specifically the weapons i was using was the terra lance, comet quasar, and the vanilla weapons starlight and terra blade. It seems to work fine on vanilla enemies, but not on modded enemies like the calamity astral enemies or the advanced dummy from luiafk reborn, which is what i used to test why it was happening.

Having an issue with this, projectiles disappear and weapons dont deal damage when overcrits are applied, happens to specific enemies it seems. Using calamity + infernum, but the weapon i was using was vanilla.

um I think it should be 3x, as it makes menacing actually useless now (as damage bonuses are additive and you just made crit bonuses basically multiplicative)
