@zortag It does work. If you actually read the information they provide you, you'd see that you will still get the side effects but only ONCE at the time you take the stimpack. Disabling the option just makes it to where the side effects wont last for days or months.

So instead of having the depression or cold side effect on and off for a month straight, you only get it that one time you take the stimpack. Then when it goes away it wont come back(Unless of course you take another stimpack or outside reasons such as not taking care of yourself). So it does work, because thats what it says in the description. Its supposed to be that way.

Now if you want to get around this, use debug and turn on god mod after taking the stim, the turn off godmode(At least until "They Knew" gets updated)

can't disable side effects with sandbox settings. tried in my 100+ mods modpack and alone with error magnifier (and its dependecies). no error given, just sandbox option not works (B42.12)

@Насрал в кувшин - The items you listed there are Stims (single use syringes), once you've injected yourself, they are empty and you'll need to find new ones!

And how many uses Boost Blast Shield have? They never last. There must be only one use per item.

@Sur.Vival - Thank you for spotting this. The mod you mentioned is using the wrong "Base" module reference which is what caused the error. Although I can't force them to correct the mistake I've tweaked our mod to avoid any conflicts with people who make the same mistake. I've patched the Mod now after testing with the Mod you referenced and everything is working fine. Enjoy!

It seems that More MRE & Military Food V2 conflicts with this mod no matter what load order I try. They really shouldn’t be related, since one only affects medical items while the other only touches food.

The error occurs whether I start a new game with the mod enabled or try to enable it during an ongoing save. In both cases, the same conflict/error shows up.

I hope you're surviving OK with the unexpected step in difficulty. I hope it will make things more rewarding if anything. Glad we got that cleaned up for you as well and you know your not bugged out. Keep and eye on character speech if you use any of the other meds, it'll give you a heads up on what to expect. Any queries/questions/suggestions you can always swing by the discord!

I'm not a sir, but thanks for responding. The problem was I looked everywhere but the summary, didn't even see that section, thought it would be in a detailed spot. I have problems with skipping over sentences accidentally, so no need to mention it can't be made clearer. I wasn't trying to be rude with my original comment either... But again, thanks for responding and that solves the mystery. My character did read something out loud but I didn't get a chance to read it fast enough before it went away since I was distracted trying to not die in the game lol.

@Dazia, In the mod description above, read the Mod Summary and Section on Side Effects - everything is detailed. You can turn off "on-going" side effects from the options mentioned above but our mods increase difficulty and make the game more challenging (hence the hardcore tag and detailed explanation), and so there is no way to turn off side effects when consuming the experimental meds. As a footnote - You're character will also literally read out the possible side effects when opening the medical packets, we really can't make things any clearer than this sorry Sir!

I took the cure, then both my feet got burned, and I had a horrible slew of illness and pain and panic etc. Now my hand is burned. Are their side effects that aren't listed in the deception of this? Or am I bugged? If there are side effects, please detail them in the mod. I'm on a multiplayer server and if this is how it's supposed to be, it's really brutal. I couldn't understand from the description what would need to be disabled if this mod is the culprit of the burns and illness etc. Please let me know how to disable the side effects of it is this. Thank you!

@EclairBlaze - no this mod doesn't cause a crash on world creation, that would have been picked up pretty quickly in testing! - You're having a mod conflict or something similar.

and does anyone have recommend for this mod position in the list? this mod somehow cause crash on world creation, everything else on mine run normal when i disable this.

@Fracture - They work the same as all items and have a pre-set spawn chance in certain places (The crates are very rare by default and only spawn in very specific places!). The new mechanics in PZ B42 mean that all loot disappears slowly over time, unless you turn this off in a Sandbox Game.

Do the supply crates have a set spawn limit and despawn after a set amount of time?

It's ready folks, after a lot of testing and tweaking it's now live.

Hi i ran into a bug where i was protected by the vaccine for about 3 days

@fostercaremadhouse - Apologies for the late reply here. I simply haven't tested this mod to work with large medical variation mods as there likely WILL be conflicts of some kind. In you reference to "immunity boost" - I hope you're aware this mod contains a vaccine that makes you immune to virus transfers for 2 weeks at a time?!

@BoyKennedy - Yes bites are still injuries :) - The Virablast has cured you successfully (great news) but bites are still nasty wounds that cause a lot of bleeding (kill you slowly) and unfortunately take a long time to heal.

Keep the wound clean, keep changing bandages and eat well! - should sort in a week or two :)

I used a virablast on this mod and I think im cured?? but the bite is still there and I have to keep bandaging it or it slowly kills me, does the bite ever go away or does it stay there forever?

Is this compatible with the Antibodies mod? It'd be cool if you could use the meds even when you're not sick to give your immunity a boost.

@RedTopTom - Our mods are only tested/built on MP. We have 100s of people through our MP servers + a few 100 hours of testing with no problems so this is confusing...

Can you clear all other mods off your server and just run this one then re-test please? Pretty certain that's going to show the mod works fine and it's likely caused by a conflict with another mod or server setup of some kind. Guessing at this stage you have more than one mod running on the server?

Add me on steam/join our discord if you need more help. But no there's no chance mechanics on cures/vaccine.

I've run into an issue with the mod on MP with friends where the Virashield doesn't seem to prevent infection despite being the '2 week vaccine', and the Virablast sometimes cures the infection and sometimes doesn't.

A vaccine is a prevention - not a cure!
