Personally, i don;t have the patience to keep correcting Keens dumb shit.
It's all good, Patrick.
I am of a thought that, perhaps, this mod might goad Keen into giving their block groups and scrolling a good, hard look-see. Many of the groupings (o2/h2 generator NOT with the tanks or vents?) are plain wasteful and most of the scrolls could use a touch of common sense.
If you folks can manage to keep this mod on the front page for a couple of weeks, I am pretty sure Keen will notice it, and all of the feedback you kind folks have given. That might just be enough for them to actually take action.
I am not lying when I say it actually took me longer to make this thumbnail than it did to make AND test this mod.
I do not know who came up with the scrolling order for space engineers but it has never made sense to me and I'm shocked they haven't fixed it given all their time to do so. Thank you for doing their work.
I was also thinking of turning this into a series of mini-mods. There are a number of block sets that could use a little common sense applied to the scrolling (ie: why does it go from survival kit to full assembler when that is not the way progression flows?). by making each block group it's own mini-mod, people can pick-n-choose which they like - I mean, not everyone likes rocky road ice cream, even if they like most of the contents.
Found a small bug
The Heavy Armor Corner Tip 2x1x1 is all the way down in the Store selection in G menu
Thank's again for the kind words.
Seriously, tho, this is such an easy fix, I am surprised it hadn't already been done. It took all of 5 minutes to create. Took a good deal longer to test, since the game takes forever to boot into an empty world...
Still no idea why the heavy corners moved to the bottom of the G-menu, tho...
Thank you.
The way Keen has done the vanilla models, to make them deformable, is that each side is it's own model, then coding puts them together into the shape. If you have ever noticed, modded blocks do not deform like the Keen blocks.
But maybe the should all point to the left instead of to the right, it would just make more sense when scrolling through them!
@LeeSpork - Aside from having the same accident, on occasion, putting a single block into it's own group would not appeal to a lot of people. The 2x1x1 corner layout has definitely annoyed folks and I just got tired of the transition mirrors being 3 blocks apart.
@Kaizoe - Not sure what you mean. Both light and heavy line up the sensible way in my mod. I have no idea why the 2x1x1 heavy corner has moved to be down by the economy blocks in the G-menu, however, as I didn't mess with that stuff.
The light inverted corner tip is also the wrong way in the menu, but the heavy is right! Or is it that the other ones are wrong but the inverted tip corner is right?
