Also, for what it's worth, I'm English too. Is why I picked London.

...Huh. Actually, I wonder if I could make a map that's essentially an entire county...? I overcame the player caps using a hex editor, maybe it's possible to overcome the town limit too.

Hehe, no doubt. I made sure to make every road in London buildable, but even then... Things get cramped pretty rapidly. So burning shit down is pretty useful, I'd imagine.

I tried to fix the problem by creating a custom-grid map, but I overdid it. Guild 3 does NOT like dealing with 384 dynasties simultaneously...

I should probably upload that map at some point.

Feuds are something else on this map, half of the London, South District is on fire from one bomb. The other half.....my bad. lmao.

As someone who lives in England, thank you for going out of your way to mod this map in particular. I downloaded "Unlimited Business" mod,since it's compatible and set myself the goal of usurping the entire city, enjoying my time. 10/10.

It ultimately depends on how many districts you have, and the variety of spawn huts. I can't give you a solid answer, it's been ages since I played with those numbers, sorry.

Can you suggest some values for the npc spawn limitation? I am creating a map with one city and two villages, so ~6 to ~12 dynasties depending on playstyle. Whats a good npc factor to have a busy city, but also stay performant in longer rounds?

Sorry, it'd involve manually changing a BUNCH of roads and adding each additional house spawn individually. That's way more than I'm capable of. And until the game actually gets actual, functional mod files, I've promised myself not to do any more work on the game.

Honestly, it's not THAT bad. The limiting factor is space. Simply put, the limitation on the roads of London means that only a certain number of building can be placed.

That said, the main problem isn't buildings, it's PEOPLE. Fortunately, the mapping tool has a function where it's possible to set the amount of NPCs per simulated inhabitant of each district. So for example, the docks might have 50 simulated inhabitants, affecting the market and so on... But via the NPC multiplier, only 1 in 4 might appear in-world as an intractable NPC (robbable, marriageable, etc).

So it's entirely possible to make a 250 dynasty map on a massive grid of scenery-free roads, but have it run effectively simply by ensuring that only a fraction of the simulated NPCs spawn at any given time. As to whether that would be FUN, well...

To answer your question: Yeah, it's playable. Y'know, unless you have a potato, then you may need tweaked-down versions of the maps.

There's no hard limit for dynasties, beyond the amount of starter homes you're willing to place on the map. Fairly sure it can be pushed WAY beyond 10k.

No PC will ever be able to handle 10,000 dynasties In G3 though.

Definetly insane ! If there was a way to make it work, it could be really interesting to play around with, like it kinda does in CK3.

It is! I did a little bit of testing a week or two ago and managed to get a map with up to 450+ dynasties active, but that kinda quickly turned into a framerate-obliterating mess. Plus it'd take forever to paint all the roads onto the grass... Something to come back to later, I think~

A fair point. But also outdated: Tested in multiplayer: Works fine. The place still gets cramped pretty quickly, but oh well~

Untested in multiplayer. Because seriously, who's stupid enough to play multiplayer in a game like this.
