You're right, but unfortunately the only thing we can change is a single diffuse texture.

It's a very neat idea, but the "New Moon Phase" makes the planets look Pitch Black even though they are, by definition, cities of a planet and a planet of cities. So I imagine there would be some light coming off of them, but its just darkness. Kinda takes away the immersion of it all.

Kenshi would fit so well as a cameo in Stellaris

If you could add highlights that would glow on its dark side to represent the lights of cities at night it would be even more beautiful!

Everyday I look up at the utopia and wonder is it really a utopia? Maybe its nothing but skeletons there. No life other than plants and insects. A world maintained by skeletons.

I have an idea and no modding skills, I can work the FCS at basic level. But if someone could implement as a building something that resembles a space ship or something, with some crazy material requirements, it could be as ingame objective to build it (obviously I know it wont fly). This could be just a RP objective. Add some skeleton NPCs with supposed ancient knowledge that could join you and supposedly know how to build the ship and fly it (blueprint unlock). So once you build the spaceship you could end your playthrough because your characters flew away to the mechanical world.

I have a desire to write lore implications on this, but I'm currently working on something else. If no one else has wrote one yet, I might in the future.

I'm actually pretty impressed by how much mileage you're able to get out of two textures and four sentences. That small amount can change the whole tone of the game.

The textures of the two moons have been replaced, and the skybox has not changed. So it is compatible with skybox mods.

What does this mod do? Does it just change the skybox? I like the idea of the mod but I want to know what it actually does in game.
