Have you considered I work on a lot of things and do what I feel like doing, and all of it is stuff I've done for free and never asked for anything in return? Please don't be snarky and imply it's like its something I owe anyone, it especially makes me uninterested in coming back to something like this addon in particular.

Do you have any other addons enabled that may try to alter player footsteps in lua?

The footsteps in general don't work. I respawn and press apply changes when I click on the footsteps. And it just still plays the default footsteps.

After messing with it I found the problem, a small oversight in that my code to find the floor mat the player is on started at the player's origin, which gave a distance of 0 and didn't find any floor mat, defaulting to... well "default". The reason jump landings were working is because of prediction the calculation on the client was done while the player is still in the air.

I've fixed this by just adding half a hammer unit of vertical space from the start position on the floor check function within Draconic. Thanks for letting me know about this, it'll be included in a hotfix in the near future.

Also jumping around on it, the correct landing sounds play on their corresponding surfaces on the func_door.

If it is hammer entity related, then I'll keep an eye for anymore if they occur.

Map: gm_BlackMesa_Sigma_Night .

At coordinates: X= 1013, Y= 3889, Z= -599. (from status command in console)

Those Coordinates will lead you to a pit next to a crane, at the bottom of the pit is a func_door with glass and metal surfaces. You should see a reactor looking down through it.

Your debugger also says the material is "undefined". Just walk around on it. you'll notice the footsteps are concrete instead of metal or glass

What map and surface in specifically is this on? Some things are special entities made in Hammer and don't have a properly defined surfaceprop.

I'd need to know exactly what surfaces are being stepped on/etc when these things are happening in order to troubleshoot, as Draconic's Footsteps use a fallback system if a surface isn't defined for the step set.

I noticed some issues with this addon (and others that intend to replace the default sounds completely). On movable surfaces (Like moving platforms, doors, elevators, etc) the footsteps don't match up with the surface material of the movable surface.

If I am standing on a glass elevator for example, I still hear concrete sounds playing. When the correct sounds do play, they are inconsistent. I know surface sounds are limited in games, but Portal 2 should have most of the surfaces.

Another thing I noticed and is not just because of a movable surface. No matter what surface I'm on, jumping always plays the concrete sounds regardless of the material I'm standing on. I know jumping sounds are also limited from the games, but thought I should mention it anyway in case it is an issue.

Apologies for the long report, but wanted mention these somewhere. Thanks for making this system by the way, It is much nicer to use.
