Investigated this, and the exe is not relevant here, there is simply a mistake with the mod!

Inside PORSCHE997_VT.java, where it should say "Porsche_997:0x00000006r", it says "Porsche_997_data:0x00000006r" (it should match the car's .rpk name).

Therefore, chassis creation fails, leading to the game crashing.
Though the car can be bought via catalog or testme cheat just fine in 2.3.1, it will crash the game whenever it should appear at the dealer.

I'll let the uploader know of this issue!
Meanwhile, you can fix it yourself by editing the aforementioned .java file :)
