Report a translation problem
But we need Chinese.
I have created a Chinese translation file that I can send to you for updating the next version.
I have already tested your mod and the results are very good.
However, I cannot associate my translation mod with your mod.
I need to add translation files to your mod in order to use them correctly.
I will send the translation file to your email for updating the next mod version.
This approach can help more Chinese players in need and prevent any infringement behavior.
So can you tell me your email address?
Thanks for your question!
Yes, her perk can effectivly only trigger once per turn. As soon as the perk activates, she will receive the bonus AP and "count" as "Inspired" till the end of the turn. The buff will not be applied a second time in the same turn. I might change the tooltip with the next update to make it more clear. Hope this answers your question.
Enjoy your sunday!

I just want to give you a short update on a known issue that was reported to me, about the passive perk icon appearing multiple times when being on the sector map.
I did some further investigation and discovered, that the icon might get added multiple times to your action bar as soon as you activate some mod through the mod-manager during the same active client session. Doesn't matter which mod. This operation will cause a complete reload of all mods and therefore the passive display icon will be added multiple times to the runtime library. I have to do some further investigation on how to avoid this, but I can assure already, that it's only a display issue. The functionality of the passive perk itself is independent from its display and should work as intended.
Nevertheless for the time being a client restart after adding new mods will fix this problem till i found a more elegant code-wise solution.
Thanks a lot again for reporting this to me
Your Otherguy
Thanks for your feedback, really appreciate it!
Technically it should be possible to provide different choosable voices for a single merc, but practically it would drastically increase the maintenance effort the mod would take in case of update stability. I really want to keep things structured and straight forward inside the mods to keep them as bloat-free as possible and to provide the best possible compatibility for any future changes.
Hope for your understanding!
Your Otherguy
Yeah you're right, I had the old version, you did a good job on the new voices.
It's really nice to have a modder like you
Thanks for solving my problem.
I'm watching your next creations.
Thanks a lot for your feedback and comments.
@gilloo25: Can you do me a little favour? I'm just asking because I just reworked her voice response set today to a much more natural voice and dropped the update that includes this changes only some hours ago. Possible you haven't heard her new voice yet. Would be awesome to know if your feedback relates to her "new" or "old" voice. Helps me a lot to interpret your feedback correctly.
Personally I'm quite happy with her new voice. Compared to her "old" one, it sounds much more natural and should be on par with Sonja & "The Gang". So, I will lean myself out of the window and make the assumption your comment relates to her "old" voice - but would be awesome to know if I'm right about this.
You can check your mod version before your next play session. Her new voice should be available from mod version 1.04-245. Just let me know if your comment was related to her "old" or "new" voice.
Thanks in advance!
Your Otherguy
I also hired Mildred and Sonja the voices are much better (very good job :)).
Is it possible to improve Annie's voice?
First of all thanks a lot for your feedback!
I just deployed a new update for "Annie". After I was not that happy with her original voice, I decided to replace her voice responses with a complete new audio set. This also increased the number of spoken voice responses from 114 to 160 voice lines. This change is fully compatible with any existing saves.
In addition she received her new custom perk called "Femme Fatale" and I increased her starting level from 1 to 2 as requested earlier.
Please note, that the change of her default perk will have no effect to any existing saves. This is caused by the fact, that the game is saving all "current traits" of a merc within the gamestate itself. This makes perfect sense, because the player will add new traits over the playthrough time when mercs advances and level up. In consequence, the change of her default perk will only take place in new games you are going to start in future.
Have a nice weekend,
Your Otherguy
sorry for being idle a few days - real life work needed a lot of attentiion and thus,JA3 didn't get any... :)
Just checked and your update was applied correctly, Annie now is on V. 1.04-147 and her contract can be prolonged as intended.
Thx for the update and your cool work - really love Annie on my team!
Thanks a lot for your questions! Let's get started with some answers, in deep hope that they help to solve your issues.
The behaviour you are describing is the same behaviour that occured right after Patch 1.1 was dropped and the merc was not yet updated from my side. Can you do me a little favour and double check your Mod-Manager if you have at least version 1.04-147 installed on your side?
This should be her most recent version up today that should be fully compatible with Patch 1.1. I just want to avoid hunting any ghosts here because sometimes the auto updates from steam are not that responsive. Short sidenote: If you want to force the update for a mod, you just need to close the game and un- and resubscribe to the mod. Than the newest version should get installed by default.
Just drop me a note if everything is up-to-date on your side and the issues are persisting so I can start to dig deeper.
Have a great evening!
Your Otherguy
Thanks a lot for the note.
Yes this is definitely not intended. I already noticed it on monday evening when i hotfixed the mercs for patch 1.1 and put that on my todo-list. I think i will fix this by increasing their default level as soon as I add in the custom perks for "Sam" and "Annie".
Hope you are enjoying your evening!
Your Otherguy
First of all thanks a lot for your feedback!
I just came home from work and deployed the necessary update for today's official patch 1.1.0 some minutes ago.
Can you do me a little favour and check in your in-game Mod-Manager if you are already have installed the newest version for Annie? (should be at least version 1.04-145) As far as I know it can take some time on your side to receive the update but you can enforce it by resubscribing.
I am pretty sure, that the issue that you just described might have something to do with todays update because i had no problems extending her contract at my side before todays update. The reason behind it is, that they added a new "toggle option" inside the modding tools that has to be toggled for a custom merc. This toggle did not exist in the previous version and so the old version merc was treated as regular "Unit" instead of a "Merc" internally.
Let me know if your problem is solved with the newest version.
Your Otherguy!
first, i'd like to say thanks to Otherguy for this cool merc. Annie really is a great addition to my team and works well with Fox and Grizzly.
BUT: i do have the problem that Annies contract is about to expire soon - and i do not have any possibility to extend it: annie is neither shown in the "my zeam" browser tab, nor is she shown as personell in the equivalent AIM-section....
remain copntract time for annie, who has learned quite a lot druing the last 14 in-game days is around 24 hours... - any suggestions as how to extend the contract?
I just deployed the necessary update for the official Jagged Alliance Patch Version 1.1.0 for "Annie". Please make sure to update your mod to the latest version (1.04-145). You can check the current mod version you have installed in your Mod-Manager.
As far as I'm aware, this update should be fully compatible with existing saves. I just tested my own save and everything seams to work as expected. Nevertheless, if you are encountering any unexpected issue related to the merc after you updated it, just drop me a short message here and I will have a look at it. Thank you in advance!
@Korron: Thanks a lot for your report! I hope this update will fix your issue - just let me know if it is going to solve your problem ;)
I hope you enjoy your time!
Your Otherguy
Will she gets a custom perk as well?
I would have a suggestion based on her description:
Perk Name: Femme Fatale
Effect: Once per round she gets inspired when she inflicts a wound to a male enemy.
Thanks a lot for your feedback! It really helps me to improve things.
@noodlee:
I am totally with you here. To be honest - I'm a little bit unsatisfied with the current accent voice myself. The AI definitely has it's difficulties when it comes to voice generation that includes some more fancy accents. Beside some creepy pronunciations the current voice definitely lacks some personality, especially if you compare her to Hector or Sonja. Let's call it "Bad Luck" but nothing that cannot be changed in future. I think I will discard the french accent idea for the time beeing and try to recreate her voices from scratch with a more fluid and appealing english voice. All in all, her current voice does not really represent the character i had in my mind when i started to work on her. I put that on my list for further improvements and will let you all know, when i dropped an update for her!
Have a great Evening!
Greetings Otherguy
I just wanted to let you know, that I just released the voice update for "Annie". She got 114 individual custom voicelines in english language and will talk to you from now on with her own voice. I tried to give her a french accent and hope that you like the outcome. This voice update is fully compatible with all existing savegames and she should start talking to you as soon as your mod version got updated successfully.
In addition her level depended salary increase was slightly adjusted to balance things out compared to the vanilla mercs a little bit more.
Hope you have a good day!
Your Otherguy
First of all, thanks for your question!
As i mentioned earlier this day, I am still working on the voice set for one of my other mercs as well as a new custom perk. Nevertheless I am confident, that i can deploy the voice response update for "Annie" in the next couple of days as well.
But i guess here is the important part for you:
The way things are working at this moment and the way things worked on my other Mercs that already received their voices, the voice update for "Annie" should be fully compatible with any existing saves. So there will be no need to start a new game from scratch. It is really important to me to keep things consistent and as backward compatible as possible and as long as Haemimont does not change anything elementary with a official patch things should work without any problems.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
Your Otherguy
Thanks a lot for your feedback!
I'm pretty sure what Ogaburan was trying to say is, that Annie comes with a "unusual usual character" if you compare her to some of my other Mercs like Hector or Jerry. But i really love to give them some variance and there should definitely be some room for the less unusual ones as well in the game.
Nevertheless, just wanted to give you a short heads up on the further work: Today i will start working on the voice response set of one of my other Mercs. As soon as i finished the other project, i have the creation of the voice-lines for Annie on my todo list.
Have a great weekend!
Your Otherguy
Thank you, Annie is cool as hell.
Being from Switzerland (french speaking part), it's great to see a "local" merc ^^
Btw.. I love your thumbnails, clean and simple. I was working on something similar for my merc mod (if I ever get it done). But cant get it as clean as yours. Anyways, nice work and thanks for all the mods. cheers
