Hello, I have pushed the update so you can now hide the clock via the 'Clock Visible' customization option.
To get the update right away you might need to unsubscribe from the wallpaper -> Close wallpaper engine -> allow steam to uninstall the wallpaper (20-30 seconds) -> subscribe again -> open wallpaper engine and apply.
