Hmm that is strange.
I was using the mod last night on both a mid-run save and a newer save.
To double check it wasn't just me, I've just watched my friend install it on an already existing save and a new save. Both results show that it was functional and that he can run it well.

I believe the issue could potentially be that another mod is either messing up the crafting or overriding the stuff in this mod.
I am completely unsure what could be overridden as its a small mod and only interacts with nails and screws. I've tried a few other mods in the past (e.g., reduce crafting lag, those filter mods) and it is all functional with it.

Potentially try it on a new save and see if its functional. If that works, it may be mod conflicting IDs with the exact workshop ID or mod ID that I am using. I am really unsure on what it is, sorry.

I'm waiting for the full release of Build 42, but I wouldn't see why its already compatible.

On the comment about making screwdriver and screw the same as hammer and nail you probably just need to add a second recipe for each hammer and nail recipe

What a life saver! Thank you so much for this mod! Nails everywhere but I am always struggling for screws

The game just has weird RNG spawns. Specifically it spawns a lot more screws then it does of nails, so thats why you probably found it more often.

Eventually I want to make this mod allow it so you can use nails and screws for anything that requires either, but it seems way too complicated to code in LOL.

I don’t know if it’s because of some mod I have installed, but I find myself short on screws more often than I do nails. Glad this mod works both ways!

It's probably possible to do, but I would have to find out how.
Also the fact that it probably wouldn't support modded usage either.
I am tempted to update it soon to require you to use a tool like a screwdriver or a hammer to turn it into each other.

I trying to find mod, where i can use screws and screwdriver for same thing as nails and hammer. This is closest i quess, but idk, its not much realistic, turning screws into nail without any tools os skills :/

Underrated mod, especially for ridiculously rare loot settings. Nothing worse than looting all the major warehouses of Muldraugh, Logging Co, and the Muldraugh industrial park only to find 2 whole boxes of nails.. and 20 boxes of screws.

Well, at least this mod provides you with the option to switch between them! I feel like getting nails is usually more rarer than screws, and dismantling takes far too long. Also technically they can both be used for each other, although one is stronger than the other.

Ironically enough, I'm only finding nails, and i need to work with cars XD

Thanks. My only guess is the source of magic. You just think of nails and like you switch your screws to nails. Or if you want screws, you just think of screws and like you switch your nails to screws.

this is awesome. wonder how this would work irl.. maybe the nails are square and the screws have square holes where the head should be... or the pc has some transmutation cantrips
