For people who still have this mod on their playsets, I have a new mod which aims to reintroduce the content from the suggestions list on top of the landscape that Paradox sculpted in King of Kings and Winds of change. Not everything I built has been incorporated into it yet, but I hope to add what is appropriate over time. Feel free to check it out and I hope you enjoy it!

could someone update it?
smirkyshadow 3 Nov, 2024 @ 6:40pm
the mod finally broke sad :(

@RMS Oceanic I really love your mod series to expand ERE sensibly without artificial debuffs like what 1.36 KoK did. Do you plan to update your mod series to 1.37, and if at all possible either help make it compatible with Europa Expanded or make a standalone mission tree to pair with your mods?
Jorgito 10 May, 2024 @ 6:08am
Will you update your mods for 1.37, and yesi know that there exists the hellenic renaissance mod, at least this and the agean island mods
RMS Oceanic  [author] 2 Nov, 2023 @ 7:58am
Just so people who enjoy this mod are aware, I unfortunately am not in a position to update it for 1.36. Not only does 1.36's content steal this mod's thunder a little, but I'm in the process of updating my computer. Once I'm established and have experienced what 1.36 has to offer I'll see what can remain as future suggestions.

@PapaStalin In history the Nicean Empire isn't regarded as Byzantium again until they retake Constantinople, and taking Constantinople is an important requirement for the already-in-vanilla decision to reform Byzantium, so I don't see a need to add another decision.
PapaStalin 1 Sep, 2023 @ 8:11pm
@RMS Oceanic I just want to ask, would you be able add a decision from other surviving greek states to proclaim themselves as byzantium if the ottomans conquered constantinople or the current byzantium itself (kinda like the 4th crusade)?
Deep 11 Aug, 2023 @ 1:40am
@RMS Oceanic, got it! Thanks for your answer.
RMS Oceanic  [author] 10 Aug, 2023 @ 12:22pm
And splitting them into two decisions frankly makes it way easier to read in the code.
RMS Oceanic  [author] 10 Aug, 2023 @ 12:18pm
@Deep As a Rump State of the Roman Empire, Byzantium et all have access to the "shortcut" of the Justinianic borders before forming Rome. Anyone else wanting to declare themselves Rome has to do the whole thing, so I've tweaked the decision to make sure the Byzantine states don't see it while they have their shortcut available. I also tweaked the culture change to play nice with my expanded Byzantine Culture mod.
Deep 8 Aug, 2023 @ 2:36am
@RMS Oceanic, tell me please, why are you decided to add the new descision "DeclareRomanEmpire", but not just to rework the oroginal one "RestoreRomanEmpire". I found both of them in the mod, but I don't understand what for)
RMS Oceanic  [author] 26 Jul, 2023 @ 12:36pm
It will work with Trebizond or Theodoro, but not with a Custom nation unless you form Byzantium day one.
Gaming Dealer 26 Jul, 2023 @ 6:22am
SO if I start with a custom nation or trebizond and form byz, it wont work?

@"Who Dis?" Did you start a new game with the mod? If you didn't a flag to enable the decision won't be set. It's designed that way to avoid cheese strategies of flipping into Byzantium or release-play as.
Who Dis? 24 Jul, 2023 @ 10:48pm
yeah my game is just glitched
Who Dis? 24 Jul, 2023 @ 10:45pm
yep imma do tests on a new save to see if it just glitched
Jorgito 24 Jul, 2023 @ 3:54pm
@Who Dis? did you activeted the mod for sure?
Who Dis? 24 Jul, 2023 @ 2:42pm
well i have it stated is the thing
Jorgito 24 Jul, 2023 @ 12:38pm
@Who Dis? i had the same problem, you need control rome to the decision pop up
Who Dis? 24 Jul, 2023 @ 12:13pm
Whats the event id? because the decision hasnt popped up for me?
RMS Oceanic  [author] 22 Jul, 2023 @ 7:40am
@Jorgito The decision only appears a few days after game start, and only if you own Rome.
Jorgito 22 Jul, 2023 @ 4:54am
@RMS Oceanic i tested without the map mod and the decision doesn't appear, and i don't know if it isto appear in the start of the game
RMS Oceanic  [author] 22 Jul, 2023 @ 4:45am
@Jorgito The only "Polished Map" mod I see in the search was for fifteen patches ago, so I don't know, though I doubt it. My Mods are all based on vanilla as the baseline.
Jorgito 21 Jul, 2023 @ 4:48pm
Hello, is this mod compatible to polished map of Europe mod? your other mods are compatible but i don't if this is
Mr. Sunshine 21 Jul, 2023 @ 1:27pm
OMG! Thank you! it lines up so much better with CK3, where you can do the same.
The Emperor's Gooner's 20 Jul, 2023 @ 8:36am
Actually, I'd be fine if not 'Romanizing' lowers your legitimacy in the West, but there are trade-offs to doing that where it helps your expansion Eastwards and in Eastern Orthodox provinces.
The Emperor's Gooner's 20 Jul, 2023 @ 8:35am
Will there be a way to keep your culture as Greek? In case you want to claim the legitimacy of Rome but not fundamentally transform your culture beyond the Latin and Islamic influences you would naturally gain as you expand.
Deep 19 Jul, 2023 @ 11:22pm
Great mod! Completely agree with your idea! But most of all I'm waiting for the continuation of your Plethon mod. With the creation of Hellenism. You can add those rumors about Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta, who also joined the ideas of Hellenism.
Chihiro Cyrille 19 Jul, 2023 @ 6:56pm
Now this is perfect! I wonder what is next for this, Mission Tree perhaps?
