Why the hell does everyone, especially devs think, that just because a gun has burst or auto fire that it automatically does less damage per bullet? The impact and damage capability of a bullet doesn't change just because it's being fire faster.

Malfunctioned with 1.20 version. The "Increased Multishot Damage"mod on nexus still works can replace it.

Does the mod still work? I'm not getting increased damage values in the attack screen anymore even with the mod activated. attacks seem to revert back to vanilla as well. Anyone else?

Great mod! Makes the assault rifle relevant. Without it I just used snipe rifles. Thank you.

Could you also reverse the downgrade on machine gun damage that was instituted in the latest patch? I *like* machine guns being ridiculously deadly... because they are. Running towards a guy with an emplaced machine gun should be nothing more than suicide.

Excellent mod. Finally automatic fire isn't always sub-par to rifles and it isn't as brutal as completely removing the full-auto damage penalty.

Great mod, though I do have one request.

Is it doable to round or truncate the damage values to whole numbers after the adjustment? It feels strange to have shots doing 13.5 damage when nothing else does half-points.

Would be nice to have a mod that gives each bullet full damage, but in a burst or auto progressively introduces lower aim due to recoil. Basically making only the first bullet have a good hitchance in a long distance shot.
But I suppose that would require extra code for such a mechanic.

i think they tune down the Automatic Fire because they just could't fix enemy accuracy or don't wants to adjust enemy stats allover again. especially in commando difficult with those 100 hp high marksman machine gunner, but again they can fine tune machine gun to shot less ammo.

I think this needs some fine tuning. I just started a game and the first enemy with an AK basically killed Barry in a single turn with autofire (through fog no less). Probably why there was a decrease in the first place, so probably just need to tune it down slightly to not make it overpowered.

So this doesn't work for burst fire only full auto?

If so you should create a mod like this for burst fire also.
If this is suppose to work with burst fire it isn't.

Ah, this mod makes using Submachine guns and Assault rifles good. All that's needed now is for some way for the tool tips to reflect those new numbers and it would be perfect. But what we got is good so far. Hopefully you'll get there eventually, Baby steps.

Good call on machine guns. They already rule the battlefield when deployed.

@Wisdom: Yes, these changes apply to attacks in automatic fire, so that includes enemies and also overwatch shots

Regarding machine guns, I've been getting similar feedback from elsewhere, too. Newest version has MGs back to vanilla damage levels. Perhaps in the future I'll find a way to include actual in-game toggles for this kind of thing.

Any chance of releasing a version of this mod where the MG's don't get the buff but every other burst capable weapon does? I find that with vanilla game MG's are fine, but AR's and SMG's are under powered with their burst. With this mod it balances the AR's and SMG's but makes the MG's a bit OP.

MGs don't need a buff so could there be a version where they are not affected?
