@TuxMcTuff, Once you get the laser to stop directly in line with the vent, you'll be able to press a key when you go near it, which will trigger the dialogue to progress. It should show a icon of the key you need to press when you go close to it. (Just not too close, or you'll likely get fried :D)

so i know how to get the laser around to each spot but nothing happens, i even let the laser hit me and burn me and get all the wall to the end of the tunnel where the gate is and nothing happens other than me dying. what am i missing? hint plz?

The aforementioned update is out now!
Level 3 is all finished up, the asteroid parkour on level 2 has been revised, the infinite save battery exploit is gone and more.

:steamthumbsup: Good to hear! I do still plan on reworking that parkour section tho, so it's more intuitive and doesn't need the boundaries everywhere.

Gave this another shot, the tip that I was looking for the asteroids without shadows rather then asteroids that were brighter helped a lot! For whatever reason I was looking for asteroids where the brightness in the sun was different and totally writing off the shadows!

@Silicon Carne, the asteroid hopping was one of the first ideas I had for this mod, unfortunately I was low on time when it came to coming up with WHY you have to jump on the asteroids.
The reason for the boundaries everywhere is because you can literally jump across the map if they weren't there. It's hard making parkour with the gravity setting where you can just jump past every asteroid and go straight to the end, though maybe I could completely revise that parkour section to make it way more spaced apart.
As for the jump-able asteroids' brightness, maybe turning up the in-game brightness would help to see the ones that are in shadow? Will definitely return to that level to polish it up a bit for next update, btw.

The route to "cross the bridge" is incredibly non-intuitive and I'm not sure why you'd jump out to the asteroids in the first place considering it wouldn't be that hard to just cross over top of the station itself if it weren't for the invisible walls. I made it out to the crashed ship but every direction jumping out from there just seems to ultimately lead me into more invisible walls.

All these asteroids are the same damn brightness!

@DocNight, are you saying there's an impossible jump in one of the parkour sections, or that you literally can't jump? Either way, I would suggest making sure you disable all mods but this one and it's dependencies. For example, Surak's "Low Grav!" mod might cause some issues with this, since this mod has it's own script for low gravity.

@Foxtrot6, Thank you for the feedback! It was intentional that the batteries don't go back to 0, because I made battery collection a one-time thing that carries across checkpoints.(Main reason I did it that way, is just because it was easier to implement)
The thing I overlooked though is respawning via the "retry" button instead of from the Drika Hotspot checkpoints (when you die or press TAB). Pressing retry makes the batteries all appear again, while the battery count stays the same.
I think I have the fix for it figured out though, so that'll be in the next update for this mod!

thanks for the tips, I finally beat it and found a bug: if you collect some batteries, don't use them and retry the level, the batteries you have won't go back to 0, making it possible to get extra batteries(which makes beating the level easier, i managed to get 4 batteries before the parkour part)
Anyway, the gameplay and the story is really cool, keep it up:steamthumbsup:

@Foxtrot6, Yes, I know it can be a bit tricky getting used to the gravity. Like, if you're coming upon an asteroid fast, you're going to need to start holding S to slow yourself quite early to avoid flying past. Another tip I could give is that you look around the levels thoroughly for all the save batteries. Checkpoints mean less re-progressing through the harder parts. This was such a awesome play! I can't believe I am the first one to comment here!

Both the story and game play melted into each other so well and it's really reminiscent of old school story adventure games!

Thanks so much for this extremely unique and engaging tale! So looking forward to it being continued! <3 <3 <3
