Yeah I got a bit quirky, moved all my thoughts to Balance thread for tidyness sake

We probably should have moved to balance thread.
I will share my thoughts there.

Also I'm glad you shared your opinion. When I made changes I was hoping for some kind of feedback, so I would know if something needs change, but rarely anyone said anything.
I didn't want to make her too different from original, since there might be people that enjoyed it more.

Also did you find items that were either useless or too op, like recipe and stats wise? Since these were hard for me to balance.

I guess I did pretty good job at balancing her then.
Keeping feeling of progression while not making her too op was my main goal.
I put a lot of thought trying to not make her stand out too much compared to vanilla characters.
I haven't play every vanilla character, so it was mostly based on analysing strengths and weaknesses of characters and trying to apply this to Wharang.

I still think dodge is one of the most powerful abilities you get for fighting enemies, especially bosses.
You don't need to get out of range, which means landing more hits, also mitigates issue of her very low health early.

About Miho upgrade, I think its not too hard? Needs moon dumpling in every slot. That's 48 berries and 36 seeds. Maybe hard early.

On a personal level I do like Wharang because of the feeling of progression
(I'm not gonna excuse no soul mode, that is basically the cheat mode)

She's not strong out of the game;
She's terrible on the early to mid stages until you start killing Bosses, which you have to do with subpar stats and damage
But she gets to become very good after a good while of commitment

Fox Amulet prevents you from wearing a Life Amulet and I would say her crafts are not that crazy all things considered (Fox Shrine maybe, but that requires insane resources), after seeing Wicker when she has books avaible, nothing comes close

On the subject of Miho, you could perhaps make upgradeable Miho a toggle in the config;
I feel like no soul mode is way more broken than Miho having a couple extra slots, which you have to earn (Assuming its somewhat demanding lol)

Yeah, I did find original Wharang too op, she was pretty much overloaded with perks (probably still is better than vanilla characters). Anyway, I checked upgrade for Miho and while it didn't work at first, I got it to work. Makes Miho bigger and increases slots to 16. I could update with the fix, but Miho already is better chester pretty much, so I'm not sure about that.

The original and even the Remake versions are either ludicrously OP (Like Miho having perpetual light) or are super unstable

I didn't touch Miho, so it depends how it was in original (either works or broken), unless I did something on accident. I didn't even know it could be upgraded.

I seem to recall the original allowed some way to upgrade Miho, is that still possible or it was removed for a balancing reason?

I'm not exactly willing to learn language that doesn't interest me. That would also mean I commit to do any translation someone requests. I could use translator and fix mistakes or improve translations that others point out though.

Translations were made by original creator, so honestly I don't know how exactly Korean and Chinese languages work. And i don't know if I would be able to add other translations.

Can you add a option to remove the damaging aura? More than once I forget to transform back and hit my meat bulb, and wake up mobs when using Pan Flute..... I know its against groups and someone really don't need it. Thank you!

And the walking speed, I still like the original wharang walking speed, is it 1.5?

There's a bug, no matter how I change the base and damage increasing in setting, it will reset to default after I transfer, and it is correct in setting but doesn't work in game

@xsamurajxd If you do that, I suggest adding it as optional tweaks that can be toggled on and off rather than hard-coded changes so that people can choose which one they prefer without having to overthink too much about what people would like or dislike.

really love this mod, sad the original mod is abandoned

I'm currently looking for balance changes, it feels like she is a bit too overloaded with small perks. So I'm trying out some things, but it's hard to find direction i want to push her. Atm she feels kinda like explorer and utility character, has some perks that help in fightning too. So I'm kinda waiting to see what thoughts others have. Also rewriting code or adding something completely new is hard for me, since I'm beginner in modding.

This will be epic to see her updated again :3
