Using this alongside Vanilla Faction Expanded: Empire will almost always cause the character creation scene to goes blank if you click the randomize button.
Not sure if it also happens with other mods, but it consistently happens with VFE: Empire

Added it to an existing save, and tried with a new one both 1.6. I can´t manually rename the weapons but my pawns can

Any chance you could add an option for a random window before weapon naming? like, being able to choose that pawns wait somewhere between 2-20 days, for example.

World creation problems with this mod. Removing the mod and things are OK.
I have a pretty carefully curated set of mods (spent two days culling through it and building it afresh).

Thank you for keeping all these mods updated! There used to be another mod, Rename Everything, that had versions up to 1.4, and it was fantastic for keeping track of which item belonged to which pawn. I wonder if the naming system Rename Weapon uses can also be applied at least to apparel.

please note that with CE this makes it hard to determine what ammo a specific weapon needs unless you limit the available weapons and ammo or remember everything with a tattoo on your hand and being able to find it again when the pawn is downed anywhere and the weapon is hauled to storage or is forbidden so they cant equip it again.

For some reasons this mod dissapears my character creation window. Maybe incompatablity, idk, i just checked logs and found what causes it.
I have thoughs that's it because of prepatcher/fish mods and such.

well, i've been spending the last couple of days on this. after removing renaming, i noticed the frame drops were still happening. i'm going through all 900 right now to see where this problem is. which ever other mods i've removed, have changed the drop from going as low as 5fps, up to 15, but the culprit is definitely another mod

using dubs performance analyzer, this mod is causing a HUGE performance hit. somehow it's taking up about 70%+ of rimworld's computing, dropping my fps down to about 3, and tps anywehre between 3-5. not sure which other mod of my 900 active is doing this, but i'm not too keen on spending the next 2-3 days finding out which mod it's fighting with, lol

@Pepitoxxx Should be fixed now, weapons should loose their colonist named name when renaming if that mod-setting is disabled.

@Mlie I have an issue, when i downloaded this mod i didn't know there was an "Auto-Naming feature for equipped weapon, i disabled it but it seems i can't rename the weapons that have been named with this feature, any insight on this ?

I love this mod. Thank you for your hard work. My only issue is that you can't seem to rename the weapon type aliases from ideologies. For example I am playing Khemetic ideology from Alpha Memes and the Spear is aliased as Palm Axe. When I try to rename it, it takes the new name but still displays it as Palm Axe.

There is another mod that is supposed to Rename Everything Continued! , but unfortunately it seems dysfunctional with the 1.4 version of the game, so this one is welcome.
