im not great with modding, i dont know what exactly is causing some of the changes to not actually work, and since then the game has had many patches, ontop of the dlc coming soon-ish
so for now im leaving this mod untouched untill after the next dlc
However, when testing I noticed she doesn't start with The Hunger and there's no skill to give it to her. From the description I gather there's supposed to be one and it's supposed to precede the Forger/Poacher/Smuggler/Arsonist skills, but unless I'm going mad, it's just not there. The first skill in that new skill group is Forger.
Instead, here's a big teddy bear hug for you from Berlin <3
I'm glad I could eventually bring you this joyous moment of triumph! To actually see the mod you created still work with the current version of the game. I can only imagine the marvels that brought with it for your mind & soul, brother <3
Thank you in the name of Sigmar, the community and the "delete comment" function on Steam - may your mod be forever be functional and blessed by His Greatness <3
I sense that the power is strong in you, Young Padawan. Oh, and you're welcome
so good news to everyone the mod seems to actually still be working! like wow wtf? how is that even possible!
anyways yea as far as i can tell this does not need to be updated as of patch 5.02 works completely which should mean all previous versions of the game is good with this mod too!
I do think, whatever the current version is, a modder must know whether their mod is at least "safe to use" in a campaign. Almost 2 months later, we're on 4.2.3 (tomorrow I believe 5.0) and I still have the same question. ;)
Could you clarify, please? As annoying as people might be, myself included... <3
look i haven't been playing total war lately but ill try to make time to check if its still working (since people just saying "update" doesn't mean its broken ironically.
(if its not working just say that. some of yall demand updates just because you see the yellow triangle in the default mod manager. its not telling at all.)
it works completely now. if i updated the mod correctly, it should work
for some reason the mod manager is beign weird with my mod,
so i'd appreciate if someone would let me know, just to be sure from someone else POV, if my mod is working for them
this mod was PURELY for personal preference and reasons. nothing else. when i requested in the description for suggestions to make the mod beter, i meant better towards the intent of the mod. making her a vampire again
and maybe up the anti-corruption to counter the building in the ship building tree.
Hell, if you were to do it maybe an ancillary or something to make her more ogre like pirate/mercenary with diplomacy like +50 (to counter the negative VC association) to all but make it so Cathay just always hate her.
my plan at the moment is either just remove these additions because honestly they wernt really necissary, i was just exploring what i could do, OR to give her new abilities that will work in their place, such as the bomb throw (because cathay = gunpowder, and its piratey).
alternatively i could just fix those abilities with more help from the modding den because i dont know what im doing half the time, but given she already has so much, maybe not.
like she is already a character in the vanilla game and that one IS a vampire coast minor faction which you can play with just the mixu unlocker.
the Yinyin mod on-top of everything gives her a unique model, changes up her faction to represent a known warhammer faction in lore, and (unfortunately for me) makes her a more traditional cathayan pirate
the jade sea pirates submod then gives her things like ship building, making her more interesting to play as.
all i did is give her some lores and returned her vampire traits, with a couple additions
