@drosandros No, it shouldn't affect FPS. Please do play the game both with and without the mod, with an FPS counter, and check for differences

I tried playing without this mod, and to me, the game looks dull. But when I play with the mod, it feels like I have lower FPS. Could this mod be slightly affecting performance?

I played the whole game with this color grading, and I gotta say, I think I prefer it. Strangely though, there's only three color grading mods at the moment despite how cool they are. I do wonder, what program did you use to edit the color grading file?

@Nexxus26 You don't have to, you can enable it from the addons menu, but it will disable achievements for the main game.

@Joe Pesci - Look for it on the drive that has the game installed. My game is on D: and the folder was there but at first I looked on the C: and couldn't find it.

The path "steamapps\workshop\content\1944430\2986843227" does not exist for me. Checked my Local Drive, and the HDD the game is installed on.

This is how the game should have looked in the first place.
No Crushed Blacks, No Oversaturation. Just a warmer, better feel.

For the best effect, match the Gamma Level. Default is 10, Mine is set to 5.
This makes the Left Image Appear, but the rRight Disappear. This way you get proper blacks.
It's mandatory since the game has elevated levels, and even if you have a properly calibrated monitor the game is lifting them up by default.

Works with Halloween Update.
Be sure to just copy the Texture Folder and Override it. Nothing else.
Do NOT copy the and replace the "Resources" File. The game will hang up.

Make a backup if you want to switch between. Just add "BAK" to the original File Name.

I'm happy to see so many people finding this small addon so useful. I'm really glad.

This addon quickly became a must have for me. The colors are much more natural and realistic rather than the... odd purple by default. Looks great, and can't play without it now.

I subscribed because i thought i'd just try it out and didn't think much of it. Then when i turned it off i noticed how more ...purple-ish? everything looks at base. Good mod!

To the two idiots complaining about the existence of a color correction mod for this game, grow up already. This mod does wonders in making the game feel dark, gloomy, dull, and oppressive. Frictional's choice of color correction for the Bunker isn't special at all. It's one of the few criticisms I have for the game, tbh.

Great mod. My monitor for some reason don´t like contrast/gamma of the amnesia engine, so everything looks kinda dull. But thanks to that simple mod, all levels has dark areas that are really dark, and lighted ones that I´m finally able to see (I can finally see some beautiful particles around lamps and light bulbs). Thank you very much for saving my immersion.

It´s a nice touch in some areas, and actually eases gameplay a little since it improves visibility,
at the same time in the more lit up places it might be a bit too bright, especially coupled with the bloom, plus a few lamps are extremely radiant with this and some colours get washed out with it

It's a fucking bunker in WWI. You're not supposed to stand in awe of the crisp contrasts and bright colors. You're supposed to feel worn down and spatially oppressed.

The game does look like the bunker's been eaten by this grey fog, similar to the blue fog in Machine for Pigs, though I doubt the fog in The Bunker is unintentional. Since you're often in a rush, you don't have much time to pay attention to it, but this side by side comparison does make the bunker look more "welcoming" without the fog.

@bluett Yeah you can just verify the game cache files on steam and it will reset it

Will there be a quick way to switch back to normal shading if anything goes wrong with the mod?
After all, the installation implements changing the core files, which I'm bad at the moment improvization is needed.
