Gary, I like where you're going with your ideas! Keep them coming.

there's an idea. i'd suggest making it a tiny bit less effective than a full medbay, for half the med comp cost. this would make it a good mid-way item.

As for remaking Mafoo, i would get rid of the dressing room on the 1x1, but then you pretty much end up with what you have here. i never really liked the dressing room part of that medbay but i do like his inline medbay, even though it can not be used by two engineers at once.

Honestly, anything to reduce the insane 2x3 area of the vanilla medical equipment gets a thumbs up from me.

Mafoo's mod is great, but the models are getting a little bit dated. I am planning on doing a few cryo chambers with ports on different sides, and maybe a remake of Mafoo's Medical Room Type C (The medical room on a 1x1x1). I really dislike that the vanilla medical room isn't symmetrical :S

Maybe I can replace the superconductor requirements on this block with extra medical components?

ok, sweet. I've been using Mafoo's mod to get a better-than-vanilla variety of medical facilities, but this may just be a better option.

However, the added superconductor cost of gold is definitely a small hurdle since it requires gold, which is a tough one until you get a full refinery.

I would call this a mid-to-end-game item.

Hotaro, LarsonStole is correct. It's using the games code for a medical room, not a survival kit, so you'll have no production capability. What you do get is the higher tick rate of recharging than the survival kit provides. I'll update the description to clarify this.

I did indeed go as far as to change the price, the interior plate cost is significantly reduced. I added a cost of 20 superconductors which I think helps with the balancing a bit - the stock medical room being so large limits where you can use it, so I wanted this block to be an option people considered after building their first medical room.

if i read correctly, it lacks the production capabilities of the vanilla survival kit. this *should* make the medical kit cheaper to build, but i doubt Gary went that far, sadly.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the in-game survival kit already 1x1x1? Is this just the changing of the name and addition of a port? Not that the bottom port isn't useful, just would like clarification.
