We're guessing it's some mismatch because of the cache the launcher has, the reason why it didn't stand out earlier is because I don't really use the launcher to play modded, that either goes via a server or via loading the mod locally to test it. If you haven't tried it, close Conan and launcher, unsubscribe, exit Steam, turn Steam back on, subscribe again and see if it changed. But since the correct version is still being loaded, no need to go to the trouble if you don't feel like it ^
Never had a so-called smart-phone in my life, unless you count the old 2005 Sony brick that's rotting in some drawer - actually the first cell-phone ever (at least in shops over here) that had a touch screen and enough internal memory to store a whopping 500mb in mp3s^^.
Just so you know how Luddite-ish me iz really^^.
And I'm an 80s child, too old for discord^^. I honestly despise the place, never understood it, never found my older comments (or replies to them) once I logged out.
Semi-Luddite is probably the best word to describe how I feel about certain new-school institutions like Discord, hihi. Plus, the 1st discord I went to (AAF modding for FO4) was toxic, bad memories. But thanks very much for the invite nevertheless^^.
I get your thought in the design, woulda probably done something similar if this mod was my baby, adjusted inventory space to visual size of container.
Just made it all bigger to begin with. But I'm spoiled cuz of increased inventory size mod, probably the reason I felt like nothing was up to par size-wise with big chest - mine has like 400 slots.
And I am like, Hoard-City, when it comes to games like CE, just can't let anything go to waste so I likes my bigga inventories^^.
If you however have more ideas or would like to brainstorm, I'd like to invite you to my discord, it's a bit easier to keep on track for me there ^^ https://discord.gg/JwpE9X4uY2
So far, every container can take every resource, I did have the idea to add resource limited containers like wood stacks and such, but I never came around to implement them. If I roll back into actively modding Conan, it will probably happen at one point.
@MAC: Would you consider making a twin of each container, with the inventory size of big chest?
I know iz less "immersive" (ohhh, how I hate that term when talking fantasy RPGs, just as misplaced as "realistic" in that regard) but honestly I could not care less.
These boxes & barrels & thinguses would be inifinitely more useful with bigger inventory space, like - use ONE amphora or cask or water bucket for big-time water-storage, or ONE barrel for all the alcohols.
Not that important on a single player run as I'm doing, but I bet the PvP guys on some servers would love to store ALL their ale in just ONE cask.
I agree, all containers should have some sort of noise when opening / closing, and methinks the bucket doesn't even necessarily need a different sound effect - just the volume needs to be turned waaay down, so it becomes more of a timid knock on wood, not a door-slammer ;).
And I came to ponder iffen that may be a function of soundcard / speakers, maybe it ain't that deafening on your rig? On mine it is -subjectively- about twice as loud as the regular, vanilla big chest.
Anyways, apart from that nitpicky detail, iz stellar work. Loves the small containers especially, like honey jar. Iz these tiny little decoration details that make a settlement build come to life. And iffen they're also usable - cherry on top!
If you have more like this or want to discuss better sounds (I would like to have them some sound so you at least are aware of storage opening), I'd like to welcome you to my discord: https://discord.gg/8tKUEB26dT
The sound FX when opening/closing some containers...like, why must a bucket have any sound effect at all - much less one that sounds like a chest slamming shut on open AND close, and then even louder than the regular vanilla chests?
Haven't really checked with much of the rest of the containers so far, noticed it on the bucket first - but sounds iz a tidbit of your mod you might really look at hard.
The visuals is absolutely stunning liike I wrote above, but them FX, well, if a bucket sounds like a chest getting slammed shut hard by Conan himself with all his barbarian might...without that bleeping noise the mod would be even more terrific, for real.
seeing as you like moarrr storage :) is there any chance you might be able to implement an idea i posted about some years back for storage?
(no one was able or willing to make it but maybe you might be able to?)

i can imagine storing Oil in a big clay pot, like they used to do years ago (maybe even still)
