Enuway thx for the mod.
It is sad that the only vanilla laser weapon is the pistol.
If i could maybe point out some balance points:
- The range outclasses the railgun which is a bit weird, i would suggest going 30 v1, 40 v2 this feels more like a combat AR setup to me (1-4x mag cqb scope)
- The resource cost is the same as the laser pistol, maybe go 2 power cells as an "increased draing for range"
- Put the hit rate between the pistol and sniper 70-85%
- Crit could be set to 10 - 30% or to pistol levels as the volume of fire is similar.
My 2 cents, am having fun with it.
It has over 10 materials and you have about 3 or 4 such texture files per material.
1k x 1k is a bit an overkill considered you won't see the weapons close upfront anyway.
The thing I worry a bit is that those with low memory graphic cards might get into problems.
There would be 2 solutions: reducing to 512x512 which will reduce the size to a quarter or resolve the multimaterial and merge them into one material which means that then are just 4 textures those then with size 2k x 2k. However it is my first such mod and I learnt a lot doing so but in special that it really costs a lot time doing such.

Note that the game works with 3 very small and square pictures: 44x44, 60x60 and 72x72 pixel.
Fileformat is .png with an alpha channel. The background will be transparent.
You need at least V1.04 that you can produce those weapons.
If you already did the research before V1.04 then there is NO way to get the recipes activated on the solder workbench anymore because the trigger was missing.
