@YouLoveDomo Random thought, have you considered using some of the pyre templar assets for the pyro knight? The cape at the very least would be super cool.

Also, Surtr's Might xform does not currently list the 20hp bonus, which is important to know to balance against becoming large. Also, it doesn't show any size change in tome screen, not sure yet if it works in play.

@vampire3229 I removed the rock giants from my mod as base game had it added into the Tome of Rocks. My pictures just have't been update to show that change.

I noticedt rock giants have a 27 to throw bolder. and higher defence and restance in me base game... your rock giants are weaker then what is in the vanlla game. state wise. if you get time update this mod. so stats are tweaked up to mach base game rock giant stats. not shure if the other giants on your mod need up date... my guise is your mod is so old... when devepers gave a buff to all gaints or at least rock gaints your rock gaints row damge is 24..... base game is 27 on recruit leve 1 gaint

To be clear, I am not an MP player, and balance is not my foremost concern, but... with all the knowledge you can spit out from Wild Magic, I was getting to Tier V Tomes by like, turn 60-70 range, lol. It was a Materium/Astral underground Rock Giant meant for Magic Victory, and that definitely was very quick.

Daverin2112 I haven't done a real balance adjustment in a few mouths so there is some work to be done on that front.

The bigger issue with the giant skills is that they are... very good. And I didn't realize that the first levels aren't locked to an element, so the Wet and Lightning combo is entirely posible.
I alluded to it before, but a lot of the numbers in this mod are overtuned. Mostly in the structures and the Giant hero skills.

Like, Planar Foundation should probably be half of what it does, same with Muspelheim. I -think- the T4 stuff is all good. Metamorphic looks like a lot, but by that point, it probably should be. Maaaybe only 10 HP. Siphon the Land will net you more in mana than it costs, and chances are if you use it, you have ways to guard against Ashland, so it is a ridiculously good spell as well.

I love this Mod. Do you think that there is any chance we may get frost Giants at some point? It really does seem like the only thing that is missing.

Hey, for the Tome of WIld Magic, the Strixhaven Observatory does not count underground stalagmites as mountains for the purpose of the bonus. Haven't checked yet if the ashland would count.

Agreed. Really love those tomes, and it's starting to get hard to imagine playing without them. Still feels like there's so many missing tomes in the official "library".

They still fit in very well all the same. Actually probably veer borderline OP, some of the numbers are quite generous, but really good for helping finish fleshing out some themes even after GK, and not just for giant builds. Stormborne is cool, but for just tossing lightning around your tome is sublime.

I definitely am hoping the Frost Giants get a tome, though. Thanks to the modding community the ice theme is much better loved, but your ideas would probably be the perfect missing puzzle piece.

@LineArck I made these tomes before giants were really a thing in the game. When I created this mod there was only 3 giants in the game and no real way to get them. Now you can get them all plus they created a dlc. So this mod is more so inspired by giant.

Hey, minor "bug" report, but the Tome of Cryogenics is requiring 4 affinity points instead of 3. So far, the mod is not breaking anything after update, but can report back if something happens.

@Anelorfin Treat it as broken as I have't even looked at what the dlc/update changed and added. Won'y even be able to really take a look until the weekend and even then I won't know how long it will take to fix anything that is broken.

Hoarfrost slam, at least the hero version, seems to have zero accuracy in combat.

Have you considered making the effects buildings add to recruited units also effect units summoned into the city? Assuming thats possible to mod.

@Мохель I see now, what happened was before us modders could change bedrock, water and lava tiles but with the latest dlc and update they changed it so we no longer could effect those tiles. With the change no matter what if we create a effect to alter or effect those tiles in anyway it will have no effect.

siphon the lands - if this spell was cast in a dungeon, it expanded the space for building, making a wasteland out of the rock. It was great, and I think it was officially written in the spell description before

@Мохель What do you mean by clear dungeon? I never had a spell that would clear the dungeon for you. If a spell was doing that then it might have been a bug that got fixed.

Hi! I remember that before one spell from the Tome of Wild Magic helped to clear the dungeon. Now I started playing with the mod, cast the spell for several cities.. And nothing happens. Is this how it should be? Now the spell does not clear the dungeons?

@Sindir This is great news to hear also love your tome have it in my current playlist. But yes the skills under the Giant skill need the accompanying tome in order to unlock. I based the tree unlock around Cobalt9077 "Tome Hero Skills" which unlocks skills as you unlock the tome. I thought the problem was they just couldn't put points into anything but if it's not being able to select the skills from my tree then it's just because the tome is not unlocked. I didn't want to have them unlocked from the start because they are very strong for early game and would cause a problem imbalance.

Actually my quick test showed: yes it´s all working as I expected:
at least in my test run, tome of wild magic unlocked the upper skill lines
and each one of the other tomes unlocked one of the skills in the bottom row.
So mod is working fine
@sks_blade did you considered that you need to unlock the skills?
Maybe make a quick test via cheat codes yourself with a fresh game

As the creator of "Tome of crystal attunement" mod I can say that I haven´t touched the hero skill system in any way... so my mod is innocent xD Btw thanks for using ;)
Though I also use this mod here and saw that I can´t activate any of the giant skills too... but I have no clue how they are supposed to work and thought I might need to "awake" them via researching one of the giant tomes?

@sks_blade I'm lost as to what is causing the problem cause I've haven't made a change in the mod in a week so for it to work one day this week and not the next is strange. I can't even produce the problem on my end. Are you on discord by any chance if so could you join the official Age of Wonder discord I would love to get a copy of your save game to see what is happening.

it is ervery hero type affected and yes, I have only your mod active. I played now til lvl 17-18 collected some of the tomes, but I am not able to put in skill points. I also made a data check of my game files and deleted the mod folder. I don't know what cause the problem.

@sks_blade I'm not sure what's causing the problem. I started the game up with just my mod on and got my Giant Hero up to level 15 and was able to put points into his skills both my modded skills ans base game skills with no problem. Is it only the giant or is it every hero type? Does it work if you have no mod activated?

@sks_blade I can't imagine why this could be happening I've never had a problem like this before. Could you try and unsubscribe from the mod and resubscribe and see it that fixes it. I'm in a game right now with like 75 mods on and haven't had a problem.

I tried to find out if there is a mod conflict, but couldn't find one. So I deactivated all mods except yours and I am still not able to add points into the Giant skills. So, for some unknown reason it stopped working.

I have now the same problem. since today I am no longer able to insert points into Giant skills. yesterday it still worked. the only thing that changes was an update from mod "Tome of crystal attunement". I deactivated it but noch change.

@517135428 Like you can't level them up? I don't touch the level/point system of the heroes just added my mine skill tree which never had a problem before. What other mods are you using?
