i'd have no idea how to port all of those things, what i might do is just make it so jeff can die to CRUSH damage, and you can build your own out of props

And the spores that infected him too? you could use npc support for that. Heres an idea: use a custom model (of the npc) and use bonemerge to put alll of jeff's mouths and stuff

oh, yeah that's an unfortunate side effect because the only way to get him to attack you is to have him recognize you as an enemy, and once that happens he becomes a 2d png nextbot and you becomes shocker, he CHASES YOU TO THE END OF THE EARTH

The issue isn't that he'll attack me if I get too close, as you said, that was a thing in the game, its that if i get to close he will follow me no matter where I go to and how I got there

that's a feature of half life alyx, believe it or not, if you get close enough to jeff even if your hand is covering your mouth he'll still just attack you because of ???

Idk if anyone else has this issue but sometimes jeff will go into a state where no matter what,he'll just straight up b-line me even if im not currently doing anything that makes noise (EX: noclipping to move). like most of the time he functions normally,i can walk around him without him noticing and hell only move if i shoot or something,but sometimes after i shoot him a couple times,he'll just start to follow me even if i cease shooting and attempt to walk away from him. Other than that, this is a really well done npc!
