does anyone know how to make the resources stop reseting to 500 stack when logging on singleplayer? i looked at the pinned discussion but the link to the default options on google drive with what i think the solution would be isnt showing up when i click on it. anyone have it or another solution or do i have to write it down for every single resource the mod touch (which idk all of them) like the author did with gold coin on the example in the pinned discussion?! =/

@pzuko89

You do know, that you need the different resources for the different tiers in reciepes?
If you have a mod that combines all resources to a single group, you arew unable to create different types of tiered weapons, accessories, ships and so on.
So for me, a mod like this is a very stupid idea in ATLAS. It will ruin the game experience completely.
The thought alone of such a mod in ATLAS is hillarious!

This is ATLAS and not ARK. In this game things are alot different to ARK.

Can anyone tell me if this mod makes it so the resources are one type instead of having a million different thatches and a million different woods etc. I'm trying to find a mod that just groups everything to one of each type like it is in ARK if there even is a mod for this game like that

Thanks! I'll do some experimenting

@Cain SCP-073 Please see this discussion to learn how to configure the ini files, it goes in your game.ini not the gus.ini https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/workshop/filedetails/discussion/2973045415/3820784984100518453/

I've been playing in singleplayer and it has worked for the most part for me, but occasionally I load in and some of the stacks are messed up and have to crash the game and reload the save to fix it (idk if there's something where the loading process doesn't always work right). Is there a way to add lines into the GUS.ini to make the change more cemented?

@Aradiel Just logging in and out again shouldn't make a difference, unless you are playing in single player, in which case I don't know if that mode is supported by this mod.

Just tried it again on land. This time i picked up a ton of fiber wood thatch and placed it back into a vanilla forge. i had 3-4 stacks of 5k of each of these, logged out, logged back in and now all of these stacks ere 500 instead of 5k. went afk for about an hour, no change

I have not made any changes to the ini files. I'll keep checking

you can see the actual max stack size by hovering over the item, it shows "quantity/max stack size" in the tooltip

I'm wondering if you are using the default settings, without adding anything to your GUS.ini file or are you trying to do a custom configuration here? Maybe that would have something to do with this. What I expected initially would be that you just installed it and let it work with the default configuration. but maybe that's not the case?

Some may be a vanilla stack size of 50, but nothing has a stack size of 80 or 130 at least that I'm aware of.
Consortium Gaming Mods  [author] 23 May, 2023 @ 11:54am
The Stacks should never reduce below vanilla stack sizes, which should be 500 for most items or 100 for others, a stack size of 80 doesn't make sense to me, neither does the 130 reduction unless the item stack is being modified somewhere else also.

After a log in wait a half hour, and reboot in each grid, not just a reboot, the stack size maximums and the weight of items should stabilize, however any stacks that were in vanilla containers before may suffer loss when initially installing the mod or swapping to it from another stacking mod, I don't know of a way around that.

The reason this login is needed is there is a singleton that processes all the items and containers in the grid, it has to have time to run and save before you reboot.

Once the system has stabilized though continuing to use this mod should keep the stack sizes normalized to what this mod sets them to.

@Moderator, Thank you for the reply. I will do some more testing on it to see the weight issue resolves itself over time. I was initially concerned though in that most of the things like several stacks of 3k to 5k berries were reduced to several stacks of 80 berries when i had rebooted. Are you saying that upon rebooting both the weight of the stack continues to drop over time as well as the number that was in the stack continues to rise over time to what both values were before rebooting? Thank you
Consortium Gaming Mods  [author] 22 May, 2023 @ 4:22am
@Aradiel, that sounds like an initial loading issue, once the mod is in place, those issues will not continue to happen upon successive reboots, Also, we found that loading into the grid, that allows the mod to start working, letting it run for a while, then a reboot, seems to fix the weight issues with the ships. Successive reboots stay fine.

Not entirely sure this is working properly. As stated, you have to initially take everything out of crates on your ship and place them back in, and the overall ship weight is reduced. However, when I exit and log back in, the ship weight has went back to what it was beforehand, and more than half of the items in the stacks have disappeared. For example, one of my stacks of around 1300 meat was now showing 130. Taking everyone out of and putting it back in again did not resolve the issue.

I don't know the details of that mod or removing it, but that's what I think would end up happening with any stacking mod that replaces the vanilla resources with it's own.
Consortium Gaming Mods  [author] 18 May, 2023 @ 7:45am
@flacidmember This mod only affects vanilla, so It wouldn't affect the AH Harvester resources sadly, those resources would be deleted if you removed that mod. Sadly there's nothing I can do about that.
flacidmember 17 May, 2023 @ 11:40pm
What would happen if we are using AH Harvester mod, and we switch to this?
Will it convert AH resources? or will they just be deleted once AH is removed?

Seeds and geodes don't stack, not super needed but helps not overflow tame's inventory. I've also noticed a crash that causes all my stacks to revert to vanilla max and be required to change containers/drop in order to get them stacking again, but I'm not sure what's causing it, I'm trying to figure out how to replicate it.

Edit: Good news is, it only seems to affect items in player inventory

Awesome, thank you, I'll add them in
Cain SCP-073 16 May, 2023 @ 2:51pm
YES! Thank you guys so much I've been waiting for someone to make a mod that doesn't mess up gold coins.

I'd like to help you catch anything you missed, and so far I've noticed insect meat, marrow, and prime shark meat don't stack above vanilla. I'll let you know if I find anything else. Thanks for all the great work  :steamhappy:
