Always wondered why lighting on these weapons was so weird, you've done an amazing job Valve needs to add this fix asap

The Eureka Effect DOES have a graphical error. Why is the wire on the Blu model red? I play with the EE a lot, and I always use team colour paints and killstreak effects so this little oversight has bugged me for years

if you don't mind, can you provide your decompiled/source files for these fixes? specifically the phlog.
i've been trying to do the "pulling the trigger" fix on a personal project of mine. and im going mad over trying to do it and failing everytime

I belive the linux version of tf2 is using OpenGL, at least partly, does that means in is rendered corectly on linux ?

amazing work! I voted yes for this to be added, because TF2 needs all the upvotes for community fixes it can get, but I'd also like a similar mod to be added, also I'm not trying to overshadow your work when posting this, but I feel like this community fix deals with graphically improving the weapons to suite getting into the game more via an update, mostly because there's just more quantity to it and a compilation of fixes rather than glaring issues with 7 weapons

The video is great and extremely educational to people who don't have prior experience with 3D modelling
I have intermediate experience with blender and other 3D software and even I learned from that

Great fix pack too!

Absolutely wonderful video explaining the process and changes! Was only gonna watch a few snippets, but I wound up sticking around the whole way through because I got so lost in the process. Really hope these changes get added in, they're so small but they really make these weapons (and a cosmetic or two) pop!!

if the chance that valve ignores this submission, at least your efforts will not go to waste, since people will use it as a mod.

As someone with a painted cow mangler, I appreciate the attention paid to preserve their color! Really great fixes here, and your video was very informative. Hope they get added! :steamthumbsup:

I'm currently studying texturing, and it is endlessly amusing to me that Valve's official weapons are loaded with the kind of mistakes my teachers would tear me apart for.

Some folks say Valve has the brightest developers in the business, and regardless of whether that's true it not, it clearly has some of the worst oversight in the industry.

Fun fact: There's no strange variant of the Eureka Effect, which is weird considering all the other Grordbort weapons have strange variants INCLUDING the cosmetics...

This should be accepted alongside the fixed phong warp submission by Alieneer that I uploaded. And yeah for the love of god the Pomson and Eureka Effect desperately need a normal map/phong mask. The Eureka Effect looks like a plastic toy.
