@HolySoldierSon but I don't have this item from the list in my gas welding
HolySoldierSon 15 Aug @ 6:30am
There is a building section over in the top left.
Andreus 15 Aug @ 12:55am
and where is the battery storage crafted now?
化け物 8 Aug @ 8:39am
The capacity of the battery pack is only 130. Even if it is fully loaded with batteries, it is difficult to last for several hours without sunlight. So I would like to ask, when multiple battery packs are turned on simultaneously, will they share the power consumption? If not, I want to modify the capacity of the battery pack. Could you please tell me how I should do it?
boeing 5 Aug @ 2:17pm
please update
Lost Storm 29 Jul @ 7:15pm
@brunonbernardes I believe there's mods that improve the range of generators, or it's an in-game setting. The solar banks to my knowledge operate like generators and likely are impacted by those settings. Give it a shot.
brunonbernardes 29 Jul @ 7:04am
Could you please let me know if it`s possible to increase the operating range of the battery bank?
Lost Storm 28 Jul @ 12:02pm
@Lruego
Yes. You can place the solar battery bank indoors. I recommend a closet, but you're not limited to where exactly. If you struggle to get deep cycle batteries for the bank, you can make a DIY Deep Cycle battery. Do not make wired batteries and toss those in there. They either do nothing, or very little at all.
LRuego 28 Jul @ 11:53am
can you place the battery bank indoors?
Lost Storm 21 Jul @ 10:03am
For anyone as confused as me. The battery bank for the solar array looks like a club wrapped in cloth in the crafting menu NOT the build menu. You need: Electrical 4, and welding 2 but you don't need propane, a torch, or the mask to do so.

The batter bank needs:
Screwdriver
Inverter
3 electrical wires
6 electronic scrap
4 steel RODs
4 screws
5 small steel sheets.
Lost Storm 20 Jul @ 11:26am
I cannot find the battery bank in the crafting list or building list. Where is it?
boeing 18 Jul @ 10:21am
top mod bro!! dude please can you add more opportunity to put battery in powerbank thank you, or opportunity to connect some powerbankinto one network
JT1527 14 Jul @ 9:40am
So yeah, the DIY Battery Capacity settings in the sandbox does not change the capacity of charge they can hold. However, 200 is plenty realistic enough. just craft more batteries.

I've tested this mod, and everything seems to be working just fine. The only caveat to this is;

You need level 6 electrical to craft everything needed: the Remote Controller (Long-Range) for the failsafe requires level 6, Inverter, Panels, DIY Battery level 5, Battery Bank level 4, Failsafe level 3.

It appears only the Panels and Inverter are the things that appear as loot, the rest does not (makes sense, since the outputs of the other items appear as a black mox that says 'Moveable'. But I could be wrong.

Other than that, this mod is fully functional and working as intended for B42, once you get level 6 electrical. I used this mod religiously on B41 and its functioning the exact same way outside of the items that cant be looted.

The DIY battery capacity settings do not apply to me either.

I have a problem with the bank battery.. this mod does not work for me :c
B 42
salem 11 Jul @ 10:08am
Build 42, the recipe won't work, and there are no ingredients in the world.
DubReno 7 Jul @ 3:46pm
DIY batteries not affected by sandbox settings, basements not getting power. Crafting worked for all the recipes for me at least. Mod not updated since January.

For those asking about the battery bank: You must craft it with cables, a metal bar, an inverter, and a small sheet of metal. The inverter is in the game (I found it in factories). However, you must disable Tetris Inventory. If you created the battery bank before disabling Tetris, I recommend removing the bank and installing it again. What I find funny is the power of each panel. I have 5 panels connected, and I get a maximum power of 129.7 Ah. I thought each panel provided 83 Ah. I don't know if it's a bug or if they just nerfed the panels.
DMlxs 31 May @ 4:41pm
I searched many places, but couldn't find any solar cells or panels. Is it not working anymore?
Bluewave101 31 May @ 12:08pm
where parts? i cant find any batterys and Solar Panels
i think mod it die
Cheems2235 25 May @ 7:37pm
This doesn't work for basements w/ new update
Niknack 24 May @ 7:22pm
@Andagor Put the deep cycle batteries in the power bank. It has an inventory slot.
Andagor 20 May @ 12:11am
I couldn't use your cells - I built a floor panel, put 3 types of batteries on the floor next to each other, an inverter, the panel writes in red that there is no battery nearby! This is nonsense, I even tried to put them on the floor below - it also doesn't work... the wires and electrics are at the maximum level, but it doesn't help!
Kariins Evans 11 May @ 9:20pm
I haven't found a battery bank in B42.
Seal666Deal 11 May @ 7:25am
is there a way to make this work for bunkers
Berallan 5 May @ 8:13pm
@Stage I haven't found a battery bank in B42 either, just panels, batteries and inverters. I use more battery banks and panels than I could find anyway, so I just craft them.

My whole base just runs on solar, no generators as backups, although I do have some generators in storage.
Berallan 5 May @ 8:03pm
@Noisy Koi If you are wanting to collect vehicles and some have dead batteries you could always keep a charged battery for the type of vehicle that you are looking for in the trunk of the vehicle that you are using, or pinch the battery from another.

In single player, if you wanted to you could carry around the ISA battery bank, some batteries for it and a charger, no need for the solar panel, then put the dead battery on charge and come back later to collect the vehicle and the ISA gear, but it's way easier to pinch a battery from another vehicle or you have a mod with a trailer that can load the vehicle.

I use Autotsar Trailers - Hauler but it can only load small cars, so I use a small car to tow the trailer to the car I want and put the smallest car in the trailer. Don't load a hotwired car in the trailer or you will have to hotwire it again.
Noisy Koi 3 May @ 3:31pm
would be cool if we could either install these onto cars somehow, or if we could atleast install "temporary" solar panels to charge a car battery.
SexyPanda 30 Apr @ 3:29pm
Hello Mr. Poltergeist, I hope you have been doing well as your loyal fans have not heard from you in a while ?
Johnny Dollar 30 Apr @ 3:00pm
Battery bank menu disappears within a millisecond after opening, and connecting solar panels throws errors when using Inventory Tetris.
Can be fixed by disabling Inventory Tetris, picking up and putting down battery bank and then enabling the inventory mod again.

In case someone comes looking for answers.
SexyPanda 30 Apr @ 1:47pm
Yeah, I use it myself. The battery bank runs for 18 hours a day while the generator runs six at night. Be sure to have plenty of propane, screws, Scrape electronics and large sheet metals because the RNG god was not happy with me and I had to build all my solar panels. So scrap every watch, refrigerator, TV, car radio, normal radio and keep the parts on hand and ready.
Aristotel 29 Apr @ 8:45am
Can anybody using this mod on b42 confirm if it works well? As in, all the functionality is there and it doesn't mess up the save?
Katsu.I 24 Apr @ 8:39am
I also noticed that the DIY values from the sandbox settings are being ignored.
Stage 23 Apr @ 9:24am
So I'm playing with this b42-build and I have found one crate of solar components, but no battery banks. I know in b42 I used to find solar stuff quite frequently in large warehouses and in storage spaces or cellars there where banks.
It looks like this has changed I found no bank and barely any solar related stuff (besides that one crate) - even in electronics stores.
Did something change with the spawns? Usually I did not need to grind lvl4 electronics to build a bank because I looted them.
Ghost 21 Apr @ 10:11am
P.S. i damn found it in craft, it have another logo image and other name, something like craft acumulator battery
Ghost 21 Apr @ 10:07am
@SexyPanda, thats the point i find the magazine for solar planels, DYI battery and other, but there is no Battery bank in this magazine that i found, maybe there are two of them but i found only one and dont have any battery bank in craft menu, thats weird
Berallan 21 Apr @ 1:35am
@AromiaFlyce I haven't tried adding this version to a current save but the B41 version you could but if it is added mid game then you miss the spawning of the parts in all areas that you have already been to.

You would have to explore new areas to get he parts or change the settings so that you can craft them.
AromiaFlyce 19 Apr @ 10:36am
Can this be added mid playthru on the current B42 release? this looks great, cannot wait to play around and experiment
565625212 18 Apr @ 1:43am
沙盒设置diy电池容量无效
Setting diy battery capacity in the sandbox is invalid
SexyPanda 16 Apr @ 6:45pm
Mr. Ghost, after finding the magazine that teaches you what you need to know and getting the required skills up, I had to build an inverter since I have zero luck finding one and with other pieces I was able to build a battery bank. Some of the parts for the solar panels require a table to craft them. Also I increased the spawn loot of solar items and it appears the RNG gods are NOT smiling upon for this run. Also I had to craft a lot of solar panels, which takes 5 wires, 5 sheet metals, 10 screws, 10 electronic components and 5 propane for each one. I spawned in Irvington which has 2 small junk yards and a HUGE one just north of town which I looted the cars for batteries and radios. Then I went house by house to break down every single TV and refrigerator which was great for the parts I needed. As it stands I have 13 deep freezers and 1 refrigerator going and it takes 86 solar panels to maintain and charge the batteries.
🔰 16 Apr @ 5:50pm
i have to walk back on my previous comment that i thought it would be working after enabling the load commands mod. that wasnt what did the trick. i have to disable inventory tetris, place the battery bank so the inventory works and then i can enable inventory tetris again and interact with it. no idea why but it seems like something isnt initialized right with inventory tetris
opaxite 16 Apr @ 1:15pm
If I install this mod mid-game, will the special crates appear in already looted locations, or do I have to go to somewhere unvisited?
Torres 16 Apr @ 11:54am
Well you need to find the solar power book, or solar today or whatever the title is. Teaches you the recipes and if you use the sandbox settings mod you can change the settings of this very mod to let you craft almost anything.

I found the book inside a shed next to a house in the outskirts, hit some libraries and such and in a couple of days you can have UUUUNLIMIITEEEED POWEEEEEER
Ghost 16 Apr @ 8:39am
@Torres thats the point, i dont have any battery banks in craft menu, like a recept is needed or something
Torres 16 Apr @ 3:38am
bank you can craft with 2 welding 5 electricity, you won't be finding shit the respawn rate is WAY too low and in very specific places

so raid car parts places and similar to get batteries and start doing DIY batteries as well, batteries you might find somewhere sometimes tho
Ghost 16 Apr @ 3:34am
I have to find some instructions to craft bank battery or ingot some bugs? I didnt find some banks in 2 cities
🔰 12 Apr @ 7:08pm
nevermind, the load tiles stuff mod is a prerequisite on this site but it didnt auto subscribe to it and seems to miss it as prereq on the ingame mod page so i missed using it. after downloading and enabling it it works now
