Hi, if you play as an Cathay faction the other AI Cathay now just lost their starting army, it's a hassle but could you please move the player check before killing their starting general/army?

Before installing this mod, it was not necessary to balance the Yin/Yang alignment of characters. However, after installing the mod, a bug occurred requiring characters’ Yin/Yang alignment to be balanced. To fix this, I deleted all records of the mod and reinstalled the game. the game displayed that the characters’ Yin/Yang alignment needed to be balanced, but it was not actually applied in the game. After a few turns, however, the bug suddenly reappeared.

@OpalGotMyHeart I have that, and they appear in game as hostiles, but only the 3 base game Legendary Lords are there to choose from when starting a new campaign.

Will Lords spawn for AI factions even in a campaign that is started before the mod activated?

Is Xiang Chen supposed to have the undead passive ability? I ask since the given lore mentions his connection to the lore of shadows but never explicitly says anything about him being undead. Zhu Jin was added to my legendary lord pool after completing his first quest so nothing happened when I finished the second part.
For the unique spells, are they going to be in addition to their current lore spells or replace some of them?

No, but I am using IEE and a few other mods like Legendary Characters. Could just be a mod conflict if it's not replicating for you, but the quests for the LLs and the LLs themselves have worked fine with the mods I run in the past and continue to do so now. Appreciate you checking anyways though.

Legendary hero quests aren't triggering for me. Dug into the pack files and trying to spawn them with the console mod (otf_cth_cha_sakura & otf_cth_cha_kohana) spawns them as skaven with blank skill trees.

Okay pretty big update. Lords will now spawn for AI factions when you are NOT playing as Cathay. If you are playing as Cathay, the missions should trigger like normal.

I also add TWO Legendary heroes with a mysterious background (hehe) that you can find on the campaign map as well. Their quests should both trigger on turn 1.

Seeing as how these lords have the ability to cast spells, shouldn't they be selected as wizards in RPFM so they can use Arcane Items?

Huo ren's sky latern buff is bugged, turns into a active skill instead of a passive skill.

In Skirmish vs A.I, it has the LLs act like Heroes even though they are under the lord section.

Does this work for anyone? I'm not sure where I am supposed to see the extra Lords, is it during the campaign setup wizard or after you actually load in based on a scripted event?

Thanks for all of the suggestions everyone! I just haven't had a lot of time to work on this lately. I had been planning an update that adds the lords to AI factions when NOT playing as Cathay but time has gotten away from me. I'll definitely consider all of this when I get around to it! That being said, if you're a modder and would like to contribute to this mod I'd be more than happy to make you a collaborator!

hey love the mod, just tried it out with a new Yuan Bo playthrough. I have a few suggestions going forward I hope to see improved on!

1. Would like to see the Dragons get a HP Skill Point dump for extra Skill Points like many modders add on for custom Lords.

2. All the Dragons, despite being spellcasters, don't have an Arcane Item slot.

3. Perhaps some unique items for them too, don't have to be full sets, but 2-3 would be great to see.

4. Think you'll try your hand at making Li Dao the Fire Dragon since we probably won't see him in WH3? (or at least not for a year or two when CA decides to get their Monkey King on)

How can we help you find more interesting assets so that this mod is less of a sausage fest? Maybe a Sapphire Dragon, Obsidian Dragon, Azure Dragon, Amethyst Dragon, Cinder Dragon, Blight Dragon, Legendary Lord Empress Lady that transforms into Phoenix/Fenghuang/Vermilion Bird/Viet Lạc bird? I love combining this mod with Yin Yin the Sea Dragon, Li Dao the Fire Dragon, and Miao Ying the Storm Dragon mods

i guessed that might be the case. the sea dragon mod seemed to also struggle with this (the model is mostly just a recolour of fairly generic cathay assets)

btw, would it be alright for me to make a submod that changes the names, descriptions, skills etc. of some of the dragons to their lore-accurate counterparts (qiao feng to li dao, the fire dragon, for example)

Hi i just love the mod btw. one quick thing i used your command prompts in Robbies Old World Campaign but it didnt seem to spawn them in, not too sure if it is just not compatible with that map or if you have new prompts perhaps ?

Could be pretty please with a skaven on top, get a version of this mod for the old world campaign map????? as yuan bo, there are no other cathay around to fight to unlocky ruby, and the locations dont exist on this map to go to for the others.

You get blood dragon to start though so he still works on it as you could raid ogres still.

cant play cathay without your lords lol

Yes! This mod was called “Legends of Cathay” but I changed it to avoid confusion with the legendary characters mod.

Also, when the last update broke mods due to being capitalized, I thought that it was from the mod pack name, not from the table names within the pack file itself. So, you can try changing the name and see if that works. Never had this issue before. Let me know what you find!

For clarification: I've accidentally left this mod on before while running Dark Elf, Wood Elf, and Tzeentch campaigns with no issues; only post-6.1 do I run into this. So I assumed the misstep wouldn't be too bad (my mistake). Thanks again for everything with this mod <3

Had the same issue as conjoy below where I accidentally left the mod on before starting a High Elf campaign and it bricked the file out of the blue two days after the most recent update to the mod itself.

Having a bit of a Mandela Effect here; was this mod *ever* named "Legends of Cathay" or was it always "Lords of Cathay" could it be the renaming of the mod that bricked the campaigns if that were the case ?
