I don't understand what the problem is about the paintable undershirt. Pyro hunches over to hold his primary weapon and this torso is obstructed by his arm

absolutely not. ONLY the hawaiian print style should be accepted and it should NOT be paintable.

@JAS-C, Red Pyro's upper body needs to be red. Orange is used as part of the RED's scheme only for small details, never for actual team recognition (existence of Mann Co. Orange proves it), those orange elements become yellow on BLU (like engi's glove). Elements used for team recognition need to be very clearly either blue or red at a split second glance without having to know how they look on the opposite team.

Really love this style, but honestly the comments below are right.
Swapping out the black for a slightly darker red and Blu is definitely the best solution.
Orange though it appears in the Red palette is often treated as neutral ingame. So having it as a replacement for team colours just doesn’t work.

I don't see how it can ruin team recognition. Flame part is not paintable, only t-shirt underneath. Orange is a part of RED team color scheme even if it not main one and destinctive from light blue on BLU side. And what a idiot need to be to think: "Is It NeW oRaNgE tEaM aDdEd In Tf2???"
And yeah @Jauntyweb it IS very dark blue and red color and not straight black.

if the black part was a darkened red/blue it would be acceptable, but atm it's a hard no. Orange is not a suitable replacement for red, it's not orange team.

Oh I didn't even notice it was paintable... This colored slate would probably be even worse for team recognition than slate colored Water Waders.
