Seeing the picks of the case I'm surprised this wasn't added, feel like it could've added a little more colour and been a better fit than some of the gentleman's styled skins we did get in the case.

@TEAM DOG - Yeah, Loch, IB, LC, and Powerjack are the ones I personally found to be most affected. I did experiment with those settings back before v1. While they definitely improved it, I still didn't find it totally satisfactory. But hey, maybe I'll change my mind at some point. (or maybe Valve can fix them? :mindnight_saint:)

Some weapons (mostly the grenade launchers) are broken and have more compression than normal. This can be helped a little bit by setting your mat_picmip to below -1.

If you are having issues with sticker compression there's 2 main "tricks" that you can use. As far as I know they should stack with one another.

When saving a sticker in VTFedit, check the no mipmap flag. IF this is not enough or you are seeing extra white edges, check the use point sampling flag. Both together pretty much should get rid of any extra gunk from sticker compression.

I was able to preview it fine on *most* weapons. It looked good on *most* weapons. The issue was that it looked horrific on some weapons, to such a degree that it took away from the quality of the War Paint IMO. As this uses Necromanced as a base, replacing the current sticker would indeed show it off, but it'd show it off on the wrong side. From my perspective, I feel that I should be very clear with what this would most likely look like if it got in.

I suppose it doesn't *need* to be on a particular side, but I've intended the displayed sticker to be the "main" sticker. I guess it'd be cool if one could be a rare sticker, but that's not the base I'm working with.

If you're curious, I wanted to go with a sort of tax stamp type of sticker. Here's an old screenshot from when I was still working on v1, showcasing the compression on IB: https://i.imgur.com/Viwdqpq.jpg

you can preview the alternative sticker just by replacing the current one, dont let coding limitations screw over your previews and whatnot.
