It gives too much experience to my bots, they leveled up 5 levels in a row after 4 missions were taken.

@Eoin Lynne, hire a new bot and compare how much xp an older character gets compared to the new guy at the end of a round, you should find the higher level guy gets way more xp

and yes, I do have the client-side Lua installed and running properly.

Played with it and seems to be broken for MP atleast, breaks both skill gain for helm and also seems to perhaps also cause save instability with all people but host being kicked on level transition sometimes. (the kick issue could be something else too but from tests it seems to be extraxp somehow ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

After some testing i think i know why this mod wasnt working. I checked the code and to sum up the formala its EXP Receeived = Vanilla EXP * Squarerroot of character level. But the problem is that players start the campaign at level 0. So the squarerroot of 0 is 0, and the exp gets multiplied by 0 leading to 0 exp. However once a player does get over the initial hump, the formula starts working again.

What i did to make it work again is simply add +1 to the squareroot side of the formula and it starts working again for players at level 0. The problem with this approach is that it adds even more exp which might be overpowered to a degree.

Im also here to let you know im making a personal copy of this mod with my edits just so i can host my games with it.

i can vouche for the guy saying the stuff below as well. Id like to add i tested your mod a month ago which was working fine, but i just started my campaign with friends yesterday and we were not getting any exp from missions. I even tried giving exp with console commands and that doesnt work as well. Im not sure why your mod broke though.

The latest update of lua breaks the mod, you will not receive any experience after completing the mission and the same goes for hireable npc, spaming medal on them wont work too. Only npc received from event can still get exp normally

why are u questioning how people want to play their games, in their own servers

Somehow this mod disables the giveexperience console command. The console command only work when I remove this mod from the modlist
