any possibility of updating again?
kalanyr  [author] 6 Oct, 2024 @ 10:53am
@twink12kdd
A game that has these traits will break if the mod is removed, an existing game should be able to activate this mod without any real problems (though it'll probably take active effort by you to see these traits in such a game, the AI doesn't understand how to get the 1-Start traits (though it will try and keep/improve it once it spawns ) )
twink12kdd 6 Oct, 2024 @ 10:49am
is this save compatible?
kalanyr  [author] 2 Oct, 2024 @ 6:50pm
Does it need one ? I wouldn't have expected so but yeah I'm still going to go over all my mods, Spouse Designer and it's sub mods just proved pretty taxing so I'm taking a bit of a break before I get back to it.
Lord_Weasel 2 Oct, 2024 @ 6:32pm
Is this getting an update for Roads to Power?
kalanyr  [author] 3 Sep, 2024 @ 9:51am
IIRC AGOT overwrites all the vanilla files as a baseline so it's extremely incompatible, would probably require a comppatch (likely to re-add the triggers that manage initiating these ) .
Dead 2 Sep, 2024 @ 10:36pm
This still work? I never see it naturally. I am using AGOT.
Renown 3 Aug, 2024 @ 4:52pm
I just love the idea of mythical genetic traits etc. Varied varieties of faces, traits, etc.

But I like your mod more because it enables me to have multiple generations of improving children if the circumstances are right. (It's why I also love the Vampire and Lycan mod, because every now and then you get some Hybrids!)
kalanyr  [author] 3 Aug, 2024 @ 4:03pm
Hmmmm. It may be possible to do a compatch for that scenario, I'll have to check if Half-Elves still work the way they used to.
Renown 3 Aug, 2024 @ 1:19pm
Shame this doesnt work with elf destiny. I like the idea of elves but I want my Op humans
kalanyr  [author] 12 Jul, 2024 @ 11:31pm
Yeah it will be because Elf Destiny has it's own Advanced Trait system.
Seelenschwarz 12 Jul, 2024 @ 9:25pm
seems to be incompatible with Elf Destiny.
Brød. 20 Jun, 2024 @ 10:17am
I did it mid game via the Advanced Cheat Menu mod. After Adding the T3 congens aswell your traits were working as advertised.
kalanyr  [author] 20 Jun, 2024 @ 9:36am
Just to clarify the handling for illegal traits is different at game start ( I assume you paid ruler designer points for a reason so they become inactive traits ) and fully in game ( I assume something derp happened and nuke em ).
Brød. 20 Jun, 2024 @ 12:55am
Ah ok ill try to do that then thanks
kalanyr  [author] 19 Jun, 2024 @ 3:00pm
You are forgetting to give the characters the required base 3 star ( eg Herculean for Physical) traits, so the maintenance script erases the additional trait once a year ( or at game start ).
Brød. 19 Jun, 2024 @ 7:56am
If i add the traits with an editor my characters keep losing them, do you have an idea why that is ? I added the mod to an existing save, could that be the reson ?
kalanyr  [author] 31 Mar, 2024 @ 10:49pm
I think it should work mid mod as long as you're save isn't from a really old version (I didn't provide trait indexes since they were long since dynamically generated by the time I wrote this ), but saves that old are likely to have many many other problems.
IAKR 31 Mar, 2024 @ 11:23am
great mod, i look forward to playing with it!! can i add it mid-save or do i need to restart my super dynasty on a new save? it would be worth it to get an even better super dynasty
kalanyr  [author] 16 Mar, 2024 @ 6:43pm
Link me to the mod ?
magical ice viking 16 Mar, 2024 @ 6:37am
is there a way to get this to work with the mod inheritible traits +?
Timou 12 Mar, 2024 @ 9:15am
Ah ok, just read it sorry (A character who inherits a Level 3 congenital trait from both parents has a chance of gaining Level 1 of the corresponding bonus trait )
Timou 12 Mar, 2024 @ 9:13am
There is no stars like on your screenshot
kalanyr  [author] 12 Mar, 2024 @ 8:56am
This mod shouldn't require an update. What issue are you having ?
Timou 12 Mar, 2024 @ 8:43am
Update Please!
kalanyr  [author] 5 Mar, 2024 @ 5:06pm
No, though they theoretically could spawn from Courtier and Wanderer children if the parents have level 3 traits (or level 2 traits and inactive versions of these traits for some reason) .
Solitude 5 Mar, 2024 @ 2:19pm
Is there a rare chance for random characters to appear with these traits? Like a spontaneous courtier for example?
The Wizard Gandy 26 Jan, 2024 @ 2:50pm
Got, that makes sense, I think i'd used the other version of this mod prior so I was confused
kalanyr  [author] 25 Jan, 2024 @ 7:19pm
That is correct, you need the 3 star trait to gain access to the advanced traits ( it's the most compatible way because a lot of things in the base game check for the level 3 base traits specifically)
The Wizard Gandy 25 Jan, 2024 @ 3:53pm
I seem to have an issue where traits are being duplicated, such characters having both herculean and herculean - 1 star
Rudolf Blodstrupmoen 30 Sep, 2023 @ 6:46am
This is a neat way of overcoming the education issues with better congenital traits.
kalanyr  [author] 27 Sep, 2023 @ 5:42pm
As a headsup I will be moving the positive giant trait out into a Stand Alone (can be used by itself) submod-ish thing later on. I'll link that here when it's ready and will remove Positive Giant from this at the same time.

(That means this won't touch any core files, which is a good thing for compatibility but will keep the Positive Giant around for those who want it (I'd just link to one of the (many) other positive Giant Trait mods but AFAICT the exact modifications made to Giant in the original mod were unique so I guess I'll be adding another one to the pile)
kalanyr  [author] 5 Sep, 2023 @ 12:40pm
Do you have the mod in your current mod playlist and is it enabled ?
HΛL MimoAlexer 5 Sep, 2023 @ 9:25am
i cant see the traits.
Aww_Potatoes 27 Aug, 2023 @ 12:48am
would much prefer to have a version that doesnt modify the giant trait, i like the health penalty
kalanyr  [author] 26 Aug, 2023 @ 10:11pm
I've thought about splitting that (Positive Giant Trait ) into a separate mod (I only included it because it was part of the original ).

Definitely interested in feedback on if that would be preferable (or if people would object to it (and why).
Aww_Potatoes 26 Aug, 2023 @ 10:03pm
is there a version of this that doesn't modify the giant trait?
kalanyr  [author] 24 Aug, 2023 @ 9:48pm
I dunno what to tell you, no code has been changed since 1.9 you can do a diff on the files if you want and compare
SUS 24 Aug, 2023 @ 9:41pm
Well i use the older version and it seem to work
kalanyr  [author] 24 Aug, 2023 @ 7:19pm
Haven't changed anything, so there's no reason it wouldn't be working on 1.9 I'm afraid. Maybe some other mod is conflicting ?
SUS 24 Aug, 2023 @ 7:18pm
Not working for 1.9 anymore
أبو مقرن 22 Aug, 2023 @ 10:30pm
You could always do update after a month or so
kalanyr  [author] 22 Aug, 2023 @ 10:26pm
This should still work with 1.10 , although it could potentially be rewritten to take advantage of the new trait scopes to make the promotions / demotions of trait ranks easier, but that would break backwards compatibility so I'm reluctant to do so without needing to update the mod for other other reasons.
أبو مقرن 21 Jul, 2023 @ 1:17am
i made a sub mod that changes the effects of the new traits if anyone is interested

@海娃
I could but I don't have any particularly interest in doing so. I only made this because the original More Congenital Traits mod made me think about the best way to achieve what it was doing while being as broadly compatible as possible.

If someone wants to extend this, they have my blessing.
PlzDoNotPeek_03 18 Jun, 2023 @ 8:22am
Could you make a version make those congenital traits up to 10 level (10 stars)? Maybe Giant could also have the evolutionary possibilities ?
kalanyr  [author] 12 May, 2023 @ 7:45pm
@NovoTsar
Theoretically it should work with anything that doesn't change the base Beauty/Intellect/Physique traits in major ways (eg making them non-Congenital) though the progression may seem odd if the effects are changed in more minor ways. It doesn't change any existing game files and the only things it's expecting is for the 3rd tier Congenital traits to exist (and implicitly to be Congenital)
NovoTsar 12 May, 2023 @ 7:41pm
Does this work with AGOT mods?
