idk why but when i try to put the mask on it just makes my scug looks up and still have the mask in their hand

Can I disable the shield effect? I just want it to stay on my face.
It would also be nice to configure each tier individually, giving stronger bonuses to the rarer masks.
Personally, I’d only accept the shield effect on the Scav King mask

Is there a chance you could make a setting to prevent the mask coming off when slugcat is stunned, for example from falls, grabbed by creature, snail pop, etc? as well as maybe prevent the mask from coming off when down + grab held, particularly when you have mask key configured to something else? I love this mod but the masks come off every two seconds anywhere with snails, and playing as Arti and using a lot of bombs is a great way to lose masks too. Constantly losing scav chieftain mask off cliffs / into too deep water and having to spawn in another chieftain with beastmaster to get his mask to replace it lmao.

yeah, but it takes away the karma flower thing on usage and I like being able so eat it again after I eat crap to a king vulture. im petty in otherwords. :slugcatdead:

Petitioning that the new Templar masks give karma shield functionality that can only be used once per cycle until recharge (or configured amount) cuz I think that would be really fucking cool!! :rwscavenger:

@Nyxlanders medaow support will likely require a major rework of the mod code. I will get around to it at some point, but I have multiple other things to work on first.

One only other thing I would like to have this mod be compatible would be Meadow, so far I have made it work just fine with some caveats and exceptions.

The Github Releases links do not work, they lead to a dead link with no download. Support for older versions of the game can be added to the workshop by simply including an addition folder next to the plugins folder with the old version's files, this was added back in the 1.9.15 update. The plugins folder is the default place that version 1.9.07b loads from, and would be treated as that version's folder. If you want to ensure compatibility with rollback versions of the game, you can structure the mod folder like this:
[Newest]
>CurrentVersionModFile.dll
[Plugins]
>1.9.07bModFile.dll
[1.9.15b]
>1.9.15bModFile.dll

Keep in mind, you'll name the dlls as normal. Just naming them like so here for demonstration.

@Wayward Backwards compatibility is not really possible afaik.
Though, I believe you have a way to obtain older mod versions from steam? Or does that only work with the games themselves?
If not, I could upload a pre-watcher version in the github.

i tried to use the mod but got the message "Shiny Shield Mask: InvalidOperationException: Parameter #0 of hook for Void PickUpAndPlaceInInventory(PhysicalObject, Boolean) doesn't match, must be Scavenger or related" when i opened the game

Would love to see the new scav masks get added in at some point after you get around to patching... imagine you could use the barrier or echolocation abilities... would be so cool to use one on a saint run! (watcher spoilers)

ok so update apparently it allows me to equip it when i have two objects in my hand already and I try to pick it up. Strange.

Seems to be broken; Holding pickup doesn't equip the mask. Tried doing it with the alternate input too (Pickup + up) but it doesn't work either. Worked fine before, idk.

Just check your input config or go to the mod config on remix and check which button is associated to wear it. For me it is pressing Y (xbox controller)

additional note* it will still play the animation of the slugcat pulling the mask up over the eyes, but won't actually equip it.

I am suddenly unable to equip the mask like before, now only able to do it while already holding two items. I have only tried this as Artificer. Not sure if it's a mod conflict, but even so, never had this issue before with the same mods. I usually use the alternative input and am able to equip it after holding up+shift just fine. but now it wont work? also tried disabling alternative inputs to see if it was a conflict with other mods that use those same inputs but no, still doesn't work.
