can you please make him a lot faster again, the delay on some of his moves make him feel really clunky to play, which i feel like wasnt as prominent before you've removed raging demon or even before raging demon was added

get emeralds by parrying then hitting someone the emerald will fall out of them and you have to pick it up also idk what getting all 7 does

why does nspecial stun mecha when it's parried? i don't really feel like an attack that deals 0 hitstun or knockback, and is a rapid fire projectile should stun you on parry especially when you're using it while floating

@cj — Mecha Sonic is not dead. I did not want to post this, but I'm going through a tough time right now so it's going to be a little longer until I can release a patch to fix things (and add things) I know everyone wants. Please be patient, thank you for your passion and enjoying the character.

However this mod is somewhat dead without updates (like roa lol) and he gives very little reward for the effort put in unless you really like feeling awesome and cool whilst fighting, so I understand where youre coming from. I know a ton of combos for this character and if you want to get better at him id love to share, heres a tip down tilt while tap side b-ing, you get a ton of speed and idek if its intentional.

But this leads me to my favorite thing about this character- when you get good, you are faster and have better combos than any character in the game. 0-deaths any heavy character. Enemy has no disjoint or area denial? Mecha now has stage control no matter what. Dont forget you can use his neutral B to hover upwards by drifting up, its slow and faster if youre above a platform. Be careful because the biggest noob trap for this character is his neutral b. its fun and awesome and even has a joker dodge mechanic but is constantly parriable and since they work as hitboxes not projectiles if youre flying with his neutral b and you get parried youll fall like a rock. To use neutral B effectively use it kind of like fox laser and a "am i gonna stop shooing or am i gonna keep shooting" mindgame with opponents by shooting like one or two bullets.

@SkyCrafter1234 I get what you're saying- this character is far too technical for their reward, however I main them religiously and the only way I can explain it is- he's VERY hard because hes VERY fast. having incredible horizontal movement speed and a litany of options is a positive so the downside is his vertical movement, he has a very short jump because his movement is not like other characters. He's physically VERY heavy, but uses his booster to move around. This combined with his very technical moveset that actively punishes a bait playstyle instead relying souly on rushdown makes him very matchup dependent and by far the highest skill floor character of any character ive seen in this game.

It doesn't. ...yet. If you parry an enemy, they drop a chaos emerald, collecting all 7 will probably give him some sort of super form that's extended from and based on the existing chaos emerald buddy compatibility.

Man I hope the update fixes the issues I have with this character...most of if not all of them have already been pointed out by several other people.

i don't really think the recovery with wall jump is all that intuitive
i mean, pretty much every other character regains up special upon wall jump, not only is it needlessly complicating the process to have to cling to the wall with dspecial to get it back, but its also something people are likely to not think to do, considering nobody else does it, and its difficult to get used to if you do intend to play this character

also, maybe i'm just dumb but going offstage with the spindash seems very inconsistent. one time i'll hover in place, one time i'll fall, sometimes i can cancel it, sometimes i can't (those two apply to onstage as well), it makes doing it feel like an insane gamble since you can just fly away without control. its hard to even tell any sign of what gives you the ability to cancel it and when. gives me flashbacks of sonic dspecial without a doublejump, just rolling away offstage, unable to do anything about it.

I'm pretty sure the notes mentioned that the chaos emerald buddy compatibility is a bandaid to hold us over until he gets his own built-in form, involving the emeralds that drop from enemies when mecha parries their attack

@Stryfe the Lucksmann It is intentional! To do another up-b you have to down-b the stage and grab onto it for a moment before jumping and it refreshes your up-b!

there are no guides for this character but when this character is released and with the creators permission I'd love to do a full comprehensive guide for Mecha

whenever i parry someone and attack them an emerald comes out, i got them all in practice (cuz im lazy as heck) but i dont know what to do after and i tried taunting but it was just a taunt

I get this character now. Whether or not they're too strong or too weak it's still to early to tell, but they do get 2 up B's, and do have kill potential. I would love to create a showcase for this character because they have a LOT of high skill tech to make them very good.

@julie.kristian the chaos emeralds are just a teaser for a future update! New updates come out for this character regularly and very soon after parrying an enemy and taking the emerald from them 7 times you will be able to transform
