I have plans to update some models, when I do, I will update the gamebanana mod.
Each Snack Attack lod has been created with animation in mind and tested.
The Wiki Cap has just only 1 LOD, even though it's a fairly "roundy" hat. The less detail a model has, the more "blocky" it looks, due to less amount of vertices on the model, therefore requiring less process power to render in the game world.
When you are viewing someone at distance, there's not much need for the game to have a high polygonal count of a model. Many games do this, and it's a known thing to improve performance in many regards.
