framework was used before 1.4 for some offset stuff, but this feature has now been removed. I don't think anyone is still playing on 1.4, so the right thing to do would be to remove that dependency, I guess.
Without the framework, custom gene logos won't display, but disabling VE won't cause any errors

Thank you for the great mod. I have a question: this mod is listed as having a dependency on Vanilla Expanded Framework on the mod page and in the About.xml file, but it seems to work regardless of whether VEF is installed. Would any issues occur if VEF isn’t present?

And yes, you're right about smooth fur. I made it as a lighter version of yttakin fur. But no masks are used there, only the colour source, so it's more friendly for mixing genes )

@SiaNKs Oh, that makes sense. The thing is, Perfect Body Gene uses the Fur system, like yttakins in vanilla. Just like I do for fur. The problem is that the game only allows one fur layer. Either one or the other. I could overlay the fur, as is done in Outland Genetics, but in 1.5 VE they removed support for offsets and I can't control their size and position - it looks bad. At this stage, I can't do anything about it, I can only choose between Perfect Body and Chest fur, if possible. BUT. VE is currently reworking its framework, and I may find the tools I need there.

+ Smooth Fur takes its color from hair not skin right? Makes logical sense, but want to confirm that, as i saw giving pawns certain color of hair changes color of smooth fur, which is Nice, i like it :)

Malang Retexture for High mate is not working in 1.6 so cant even test that, but im 90% sure its issue of Perfect Body itself not texture of it. I think it will require patch, if thats okay with you?

I might be wrong, but please try to replicate it, download Vanilla races expanded High Mate, Helltaker, character editor.

When Perfect body gene is selected and texture from it is not Applied to character, its applying Fur to it with Skin colour, BUT when perfect body texture is applied, its not even applying Fur at all.

Ok, it was simpler than i thought, The issue is with Perfect Body Gene from High Mate races Expanded. Their different look for bodies disables Fur completely or shows up on thin bodies but in a skin colour.

I think changing models of Perfect Bodies could fix that, like lets say Downloading Malang High Mate Body could fix issue if Fur works with body retexrues, but then "Perfect Body" is retexture itself so if its not working with that, it probably wont with any other re texture.

It migh be issue with Code of Perfect Body gene, and that I cannot change, any ideas what can i do to fix it or test it?

I will still test it with different body retextures

im testing it rn, yeah, without mods it works, my mod list is mainly Vanilla expanded with quality of life features and some additonal content, including more Xenotypes, costmetics like ears tails etc. I will let u know once i find out

@SiaNKs No, that's not normal, but I just tested it and everything works fine for me. I tried creating a pawn from scratch in the editor, as well as adding genes via the Character Editor. Please try running the game with a minimum of mods, maybe there is some kind of conflict?

Is it normal that Chest Fur takes color from body not hair? If so, any plans on changing that?

While making new xenotype i had this problem, everything would be amazing if not the fact its taking skin colour instead of hair, which makes my pawns look dumb... :astariondisapprove:

So... I'm currently making an update to my xenotypes mode and decided to finally add "Elder" xenotype (based on Lucy and Bel) that may "corrupt" other xenotypes via xenogerm implantation just like vanilla Sanguophage, giving some nice new genes and changing a look. The problem is, there is no way for their genes to supress the Halo genes. Can you add a "No Halo" gene, please?

@快下无影船 you can make a local copy of the mod, drop it in the /mods folder and run it from there. Just edit the .xml files and delete anything you don't need. This may sound complicated, but it's not. You can find a guide on the Rimworld Wiki.
You can even use my textures and make your own mod. Just mention me as the author of the textures if you post it online. Good luck )

Also, any hope for possible Subject 67/Skeledemons-based genes? Sharply dressed demon girls are nice, but sharply dressed homicidal buff demonic dude would be nice as well.

I encountered a rare situation, when I put it together with " RimSaves ", the icon logo of "Helltaker Cosmetic Genes" appeared on the Rimsaves Save/Load screen. haha

There seems to be a conflict in the mod icon paths.

I suppose I should inform y'all that I've almost finished the xenotypes and factions mods (need to finish some pawns). Yup, I've got that far that I've decided to make a whole factions out of character archetypes from short game about sharply dressed demon girls.
Three unique factions to be exact.
