I was actually using a projector mod (M&M on skunkworks survival server) to construct the ship. Out of the gate it wouldn't fly even 1 foot to get to a connector and promptly fell to the earth and got basically stuck there. But I'll try it again and try to pre-load it with hydrogen somehow before it's completely finished building.

you can refuel it by using button 9 while connected, always weld using a welder block so hidden conveyors always work. Or the group got messed up and your base's h2 gen only filled it barely, to allow you to fly for a very short time and then crashing. But I'll do some investigating too, maybe I messed up.

Ship looks cool but is a total mess in survival. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to load it with hydrogen and get it to fly. It crashed to the ground and wouldn't fly again. The connector is in the bottom. So without disassembling 75% of the ship there was nothing I could do.
