"The thing is that [this mod] mostly does some stuff Paradox doesn't touch and very likely won't in the future (like the zoom distance when the map type switches) but I've also done some things that Paradox did touch (that's why it's technically not updated) but those things might actually not matter at all.
So I'm relatively sure it should work and should do so still in the future while technically having some outstanding things I could update but those things are annoying and... oh well"
( how about even remove all building models and only keep their names XD
But of course whenever I will check if my (other) mods need updates I will also check this one.
If you only switch to 3D a bit later than vanilla it would be a visual only mod so to say. Which is ok to have as design goal, but it's nothing I was interested in or am at the moment.
Maybe when I have too much time and energy I can do that, but not right now.
But like I said, they are too close anway, if you use this mod there is no reason to zoom that far in because all nice 3D stuff from vanilla game is not available.
