I don't understand. There is an item that didn't work ? Some items will only work for melee or ranged damage.

I'm still modding the game but with new units/features for each factions. MIA is on break for now.

You can find my other stuff by searching HEROES OF LEGEND in the Workshop (or by checking my workshop directly) if you're interested.

I found that one of the melee Heroes for the Tau, the one that is involved with the Quest line for them, while he/she CAN carry and gain bonuses from armor and similar items they can't seem to benefit from weapons in the same way. The -T- Forgebreaker for instance works (+1 AP/kill), but anything that adds damage to melee attacks, or # of Attacks (iirc) don't.

I'm not sure if this is a known issue, and I get you're not modding this game anymore, but if someone could let me know if it's somehow my fault or maybe how to fix it? Simple things I can do, but a specific hero being excluded from an Artefacts effects is perhaps a bit compllicated.

Unfortunately it doesn't have seemed to work. My theory is that fearless is getting applied at the same time as the Rubric buff, and therefore is still bypassing the morale reduction.

If possible could you have it set up to apply Fearless on the turn used, then Rubric the turn after?

I could also suggest putting 'Fearless' above 'Rubric' but I'm not sure if the game calls top down for effects first or still applied everything on the same turn.

The bug with the Grimoire seems to be tied to %morale loss. If a unit has %100 morale loss, they'll break when the buff is applied

You could also give the units effected with it "Fearless" as that works for the Tyranids.

Edit repost: For specifics, when Tyranids are under synaptic link, they get fearless. If the Grimoire is used on a non-synapse unit, they'll go 'broken'. If under the effects of Synaptic link when it's used, they won't.

Please fix Archiman's grimoire. Every time I use it, it also gives a permanent broken state, leaving units worse than before.

Ah okay so it's 10% added on before the "hero" trait which has a massive +1000% attacks...gotchya

Yes, the buff is +10% but it's based of attacks of the unit, if the hero have 3 attacks by default, each kill will provide him +0.3 attacks.

Question: claws of the black hunt says it increases melee attacks by 10%...I'm assuming the intention was per kill...so my blood angel hero has 33 melee attacks, but it only goes up by .3 per kill so after 2 kills he's at 33.6 melee attacks...is that working as intended? Seems like that would be a 1% increase in melee attacks per kill.

The item "The Solar Flare" used on the Tank Commander of the Guardsmen is crashing the game leading to a blackscreen freezing the PC.

@Foxassassin I'll run some test but i don't see why the unit gone broken since they gain a max morale to 0.

@Mindrivet it's not possible to add weapon through item.

Would be interesting if we can manage a way to add passive weapons that add another attack. Flamethrower is activated with a cooldown but if it could add a passive weapon, that might be interesting. Give mostly unarmed heroes more weapons that way.

I'll add in on @Adiman s comment about Ahriman's Grimoire.

For some reason units seem to still take morale damage even at 0, which leads to them becoming broken and unable to ever recover. Is it possible to also give 100% morale loss reduction with the buff, or is that something else hard-capped like damage reductions?

I just updated the Blood Scythe with proper effect, it seem another trait messed up with it.

I changed the description of the Fragmented ammo as well.

I'm guessing the change to the blood scythe no longer giving lifesteal is to head off an issue where the only way to kill a hero is to 1 turn it even with the new ramping vulnerability?(there are a lot of strong defensive options based on 3 or 6 slot inventory) may need to change a bit of its text.
Also i cannot tell if you ever remembered/got around to fixing frag ammo more enemies hit working for melee or not.

Little update about some items for balance.

The "Thirst for blood" items grants more upkeep with each victims (+10% per kill) but economical item like the Book of Lorgar and the Banner of the WAAAGH ! will make the bearer more vulnerable with each kill.

Ahriman's Grimoire permanent broken status seems to apply to units that have 100% morale loss, other units which have less than 100% have a "positive" 0.0 morale instead of "negative" 0.0 morale

I think its Invasive Wildlife. I recall encountering a similar problem and switching the other major Neutral mod.

Hmm, in your mod (workshop) folder, try to search for "JokaeroTraderEncampment.xml" to see if differents mods alter it. Then you can identify the mod(s) that alter it, should be easier to found the issue.

Curious, i used the same script as the Synaptic link that put the max morale to "0". Hmm, maybe a trait on those units lead to this bug.

A new bug I've found is that for some units the Ahriman's Grimoire item instead of causing immunity to morale causes permanent 0/broken morale.

Do you have any other mods that alter the Jokaero ? If so, it could be a hard edit (mine is not, its compatible with everything that didn't hard edit vanilla files) and incompatible.

Thank you so much for your explanation and help! Now I finally understand how to identify where the issues are. After continuous testing, I believe I’ve managed to resolve most of the problems, and the remaining ones shouldn’t affect normal gameplay.

I’d love to share the translated files, but unfortunately, I can’t register for Discord. I also tried uploading them separately to Steam, but due to my lack of technical knowledge, I couldn’t even manage that.

If you have translated all the files in the Languages folder but another language appears in game (like english) it could be about some typo error like :

A missing " or > or /. If there is a " in the sentence, this will prevent the use of the file.

In the log file (Proxy Studios/Gladius/Logs/Gladius.log) you can find the exact line(s) where the typo is located.

Hey there! Big fan of your mods—I’ve subscribed to almost all of them! I’ve been trying to translate some of the text into Chinese for my friends, but I’ve run into a few issues and was hoping you could help.

Right now, I’m adding a Chinese folder in Data/Core/Languages and editing the English files (e.g., changing <entry name="PresentdeNurgle" value="纳垢的礼物"/> to Chinese). Some mods work fine, but others only partially translate (e.g., only actions show up in Chinese, while units stay in English). For some, like MIA, nothing changes at all.

I’m not familiar with coding, so I wanted to ask:

Is this the correct approach?

Are there other files I need to modify for full translation?

None of my friends play this game, so I figured I’d ask the expert! Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can erase them from the loot tables and the market by editing only some files.

Are you able to remove certain items, or is there a "lite" version? I just wanted more items like vanilla, and a bunch of these do thing way out of whack like changing the map features around or evolving units. I only want items that add abilities or mess with stats, like vanilla.

Could be the EBF More Items & Artefacts Patch, i don't know if Kurziel is up to date with it. Otherwise, try to disable mod one by one to found the culprit.

So I contacted Mono about whether his mod edited the Jokaero files and he said no. He started a game with just your app and his and he was able to interact with the marketplace. That tells me it isn't his app that is causing the issue.

Could it be my load order? Here is my mod list as I have it loading.
