the fact that (i think) every character is aware about things like stolen face sprites or that the creator is a newspaper guy and the characters talk to him/mention him makes it even better
Cool campaign though.
1000/1000
@ASlavFromPoland Its better to access your level files directly though your computer's file explorer to upload the levels, the description can help you
@Grayson the file goes into campaigns
@homeroromagnoli2020 I have considered doing that, but a) I dont know where to find it and b) I'm completely done with this campaign, mostly because I'm currently working on a new Hotline Miami project but also because I really hate working on this campaign.
or the characters are trying to be funny or smth. Russian names are so unoriginal and the fans don't actually get any consequences for killing so many people like in the original game. It's like you're trying to portray these people like some misunderstood teenagers but yk murder and stuff. All the killing was used too casually and with the characters talking about it too so it came out as corny just like in Helluva Boss. Also jacket is magically alive which is not explained and is really in poor taste. BUT I kinda liked the campaign and the effort put into it being so long and almost like a movie (this could rly be a whole movie instead of a campaign) I decided to take my time and write this not because I didn't like the campaign but because I want it to be better and to really be something amazing. And you shouldn't try to make such emotional happy endings. Keep it real
What I'm trying to say is, that adding more arcs can only make a deeper story, when the mood is consistent. Switching from serious to goofy goober mode almost every level makes me wonder what this campaign is really supposed to be.
The story is quite out there and is getting very confusing the further you play it. This is what happens when you try to put multiple stories into one. As the description said, you have 4 story arcs, following each individual events of said groups.
However, switching between them every two levels makes it hard to get a clear grasp on what's going on, especially since they all have different plots, motives, even the mood of each level is all over the place. What's boggling me is that it's only the first half after 13 levels.
The constant switching between those slows down the pacing to the extreme, and thus makes very little progress towards the climax. Worst thing of it is, that a lot of the dialogue seem to be filler instead of being actually relevant to the plot.
